The whole thing with Emma is awfull, for her and the team. Her husband has been in a car crash and is in the hospital. Emma has to leave to get to her husband, which is something everyone understands. Emma is from England, so she is flying back today.

Christian called in an emergency meeting with the entire Red Bull team. Max and Daniel were there as well. Christian had to explain the whole situation with Emma and what was going to happen now.

After the Grand Prix, I have to come to the Factory on monday, so we can go and search someone who will fill Emma's position. Emma has said that if her husband makes it out of the hospital, he'll be in a wheelchair for a long time, so she can't come with us the remaining races on this season. She isn't sure yet if she's ever going to get back.

For this race, Christian has asked me to fill Emma's duties, communicating with both Max and Daniel during the race. I agreed and so did Daniel and Max. Daniel was actually quite happy. You have to rely on your engineer and Max was lucky that he knew me, but the new person doesn't know Daniel, so it's going to be a new start for him and he is happy that for this race, he has me.

The problem is, that the Grand Prix of Germany is already next week, so Red Bull posted a job application already, so we can get started right away on monday.

But for now, the team radio has been opened up so I can communicate with Max, Daniel, Max's engineers and Daniel's engineers. Luckily for me, I know Jake and Mark well now, so it won't be a problem.

Jamie is now sitting next to me as the race is about to start. She is wearing her headphones again. I've had time to explain everything to her, so she doesn't have to ask much.

"I need you to do something for me" I tell her, as the cars begin to their outlap.

"Anything" she says.

"I need you to look at Daniel's times and tell me them if I ask you too, it takes less time like that than if I have to look at the times. You know where everything is, right?" Jamie looks nervous.

"Relax, it's going to be okay. If something doesn't work out, or if you're not sure about something, just tell me and I'll check myself, but I thought maybe it could be fun for you, to help me out today" she slowly nods.

"Game time" I say as the first cars turn back to their starting positions. The lights go on and off and the cars are off. I can see Max falling to P6, but Daniel is off very well. With some fighting here and there, he manages to stay 3rd, while Max immediately battles with Vettel. He first wins it, being to P5. Later on, he fights Alonso and wins.

"Can you check how many laps Dan has driven with these tyres" I ask Jamie as I check for Max after a few laps.

"14" Eve tells me. I nod and go to Dan's radio.

"How are the tyre's, Dan?" I ask the Australian driver.

"I'm beginning to lose grip, front right" he tells me. I go to the team radio.

"Jake, Dan is going to box soon, okay?"

"Copy" I hear back. I go back to Daniel's radio.

"Okay, box next lap, Dan"

"Copy" he says as well. I see Max's tyres are 12 laps old, as he started on a new set tyres instead of his used ones from qualifying. But I can see on the screens that his tyres are not looking great.

"How are your tyre's?" I ask Max.

"Losing grip everywhere, can I box?"

"Dan's in now, wait for me to tell you to box, please"
