Words could not describe how surprised you were when you found Imanity's newly-crowned king, Sora, asleep on your bed.
Flustered, you desperately needed a distraction. You looked all around your room for one, but you weren't able to find any within the small walls. No such luck in what little possessions you had, which stuck to the wall like an unsightly blemish.
It was hard to keep your eyes off of him. Several questions floated around the confines of your mind, yearning for escape; but you shut your mouth, and walked out the room, leaving the king to sleep.
It would have been so much more convenient if your feelings were left behind with him.

A week had passed, and you thought nothing of the incident that took place. You dismissed it as a coincidence, as he had a habit of dozing off at random places, at random times.
You were even more surprised when you found Sora asleep in your room, yet again. His body was sprawled across the small, wood-framed bed, and your newly-washed wool blanket was spread out on the floor, just like the king who was peacefully snoring.
You had been given a short break from work, and sweat and filth clung onto you like a second skin. A bath and a change of clothes were desperately needed; but it seems like you needed a change of plans.
You retreated and opted to drown yourself in work.

The sultry afternoon and the undeniable ache in your legs were becoming harder and harder to ignore. You needed another distraction.
Thankfully, it came in the form of Stephanie Dola. An incredibly irritated, scowling Stephanie Dola. The two of you met in one of the many corridors the castle offered, you had been sent to retrieve some of the newly washed linen; and Stephanie - you were yet to find out.
"Oh! (Y/N)!" she exclaimed.
You offered a smile, which Stephanie returned, although hers was a bit forced. "My Lady. What could you possibly be doing roaming around the castle?"
The scowl settled on her face again, and her jaw tightened. "Have you seen King Sora, by any chance?"
"I'm afraid not."
Stephanie made a sound akin to a hound's growl. The same feeling of ferocity and aggression emanated from the usually sweet, incredibly tolerant girl. What had gotten into her, you wondered.
"If he's dozing off in that servant's quarters again, I swear to-"
"'Servant's quarters'?" you repeated, but without the underlying malice.
Stephanie inhaled sharply, as if to calm herself. For the most part, it worked. "From what I've heard, a short while after his coronation, one of our servants caught our King's attention. As of late, he's been boldly napping in that servant's room. 'I'm king and I can do whatever I want!' he claims."
Stephanie looked at you before sighing, and you pitied the girl, forced to carry such a heavy burden after her grandfather passed away. "If you do see him, do tell him I wish to speak to him."
"Of course, my Lady."
Stephanie quickly turned around and ran, to look for Sora. Once the steady sound of her boots impacting against the pristine floor grew distant, you spun around and ran to your room, a small fire of hope burning brightly inside of you.
