Long and pretty hair is on the Wish list of everyone, but it takes ages so everyone gives up. Follow the following tips to grow your hair longer and faster, not to mention healthier.
1) Get rid of split ends, only when you have to. Cut your hair about 1/2 inch every six months, anymore than that may slow down your hair growth.
2) Pay attention to your health and diet. Focus on your diet and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, they contain loads of proteins and vitamins.
3) Brush your hair and stimulate your scalp. Massage your scalp while conditioning it. This increases the blood flow to the brain and results in faster hair growth. Do this very gently. Also brush your hair with soft bristles and not too often.
4) Reduce or stop using blow dryers and flat irons. Stop using them, this is definitely the best. If you still need to, replace your normal flat iron with one that has ceramic plates. Try to flat iron or curl your hair once a week only. Whenever you expose your hair to heat use a good heat protecting serum.
5) Do NOT brush or tie your hair while it is wet. Wet hair is always the most vulnerable and can be damaged if you brush it while it is wet. Also allow your hair to dry naturally and do not towel dry your hair right after a shower. Also replace your bristled brush with a wide-toothed comb to prevent intends damage.
6) Don't wash your hair everyday. Of you easy your hair daily you get rid of the natural oils your hair produces. Getting rid of these oil can cause your hair to become dry and frizzy. Consider washing your hair every other day. If you have curly hair use shampoo only once a week. If you have short hair wash your hair every other day because short hair looks oilier. If you gave long hair wash your hair every two or tree days.
7) Always rinse out your hair in the shampoo with cold water. Cold water seals in the shine and decreases the chances of dandruff compared to when hair is washed with hot water.
8) Most importantly drink water. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and take multivitamin tablets.
