CHAPTER 2

It's dark and I am lost but I'm holding someone's hand. We were walking. We kept on walking until darkness starts to fade and light starts to cover the place. I looked at the person I am holding.



"Mama!" I shouted in joy. She's here with me. She just smiled at me and looked somewhere else. I looked at that direction, too and I am beyond glad with what I was seeing.

"Papa!" I joyfully called him as he ran towards us. He wasn't smiling. His face was filled with fear. My mom's hand held me tighter.

What is happening! I don't know how it started but could already taste my tears. Fear – that's the only thing I could feel.

When my dad's only a meter away, I thought we'll be safe, I thought I could hug him already, I thought he could tell us that everything will be okay. But I was wrong.

He was only a meter away when he fell down. He was looking at us and trying to reach our hands but he fell down even before we realized it.

 Then I saw them.

 They were holding a gun! They killed my papa! And to my surprise, they started running towards us. They are chasing us! I ran faster. I looked at my mom and I saw fear drawn into her face, she was crying, too.

 I looked back and I saw them getting closer. I was so scared but I am more than determined to get away from them.

 And then suddenly, everything went black again. I couldn't see a thing we kept running.

 Until I fell down.. I felt pain on my right ankle. Before I could react, somebody grabbed me in the arm and took my mama away.

I saw red eyes staring at me! They were scary! It took me a minute before I realized what are they gonna do to me. I was beyond scared.

 "W-wag! Maawa po kayo!" I kept on shouting that at them. "W-wag po!"

"Natalia darling, gising na!" Naramdaman ko ang pag-alog sa aking mga balikat ngunit pakiramdam ko pagod na pagod ang katawan ko kaya di ako sumagot sakanya.

"Uhh.." Tanging impit na ungol lamang ang akng nasabi samantalang ang totoo nyan ay gusto ko syang sigawan. Sasaktan nya ako! 

"Natalia!" Nabigla ako sa sigaw at sa palad na dumapo sa pisngi ko. Napabalikwas ako sa kinauupuan ko at ang una kong nakita ay si Mama Rose.

"M-mama Rose!" Halos yakapin ko sya sa sobrang tuwa dahil andito sya. I feel safe.

"Nakatulog ka at mukhang binabangungot ka ata, pinagpapawisan ka pa." Agad kong pinakiramdaman ang noo ko at oo nga, basang basa ito ng pawis. "Sampung minuto na lamang mag-uumpisa na ang auction. 10 minutes, Natalia, mag-ayos ka dyan at dumiretso na sa pinakadulong silid ng hallway sa labas." Matapos nya akong bigyan ng instructions nya ay lumabas na sya sa silid at muli akong naiwang mag-isa.
