I woke up feeling nothing but hunger. My eyes were dead tired pero kailangan kong kumain dahil kumakalam na ang sikmura ko but I chose to lay down a bit and relax my eyes for a while. As I closed my eyes, muling bumalik sakin ang nangyari kanina. Those revelations were more than I can take. Pakiramdam ko sasabog pa rin ang utak ko anytime.

Maybe I should sleep again. It's getting dark anyway.

I was trying to catch my sleep nang parang may narinig ako. It was kind of faint but I'm sure meron nga talaga.

"I told you this time will come!" It was something like that. It wasn't Marcus. Kilala ko ang boses nya. It was someone else. Hindi ko lang masyadong nakilala dahil may kahinaan talaga. Out of curiosity, I went down, not minding if I look like a mess.

Pagbaba ko, unti unting naging malinaw ang mga boses. They were arguing.

"Shut the hell up, Felix! You are not helping!" It was Theo. He's here? Sa pagbaba ko pa ng hagdan, nakita kong andito pala si Theo at Felix. The three of them were standing. I bet hindi pa alam ni Marcus na andito ako dahil nakatalikod ito mula sa hagdan.

"Plans won't change, she will stay with me." Marcus declared. They were talking about me.

Felix was about to say something but he saw me kaya tumikhim ito, making Marcus look behind him.

"Natalia." He said.

"Pinaguusapan nyo ba ko?" Direkta kong tanong.

No one answered. "I take that as a yes." I sighed.

"Well, this is awkward." Narinig kong sabi ng isang boses. It was really familiar kaya napalingon ako agad. And behind Felix, I saw the cheerleader brunette girl.

"Kim?" I asked in confusion.

"Okay, I guess I made it more awkward." She jokingly said. When no one laughed, she faked a cough bago naglakad patungo sakin. "Kimberly Rutherford, a capo and now, your personal guardian." She said while extending her hand.

I was confused at first but then nagets ko na, she's a part of them too. "You are one of them." I declared.

She just smiled and nodded while taking back her hand. I was too stunned and I felt betrayed kaya hindi ko iyon inabot. A friend turned out to be a.. what? Capo? Personal guardian?

"Don't use your language on me. Hindi ako katulad nyo." I bitterly said.

Tumango ito at ngumiti. "Very well. Capo or a captain of a certain crew or group or family under the mafia. And just what I've said, I am your personal guardian."

I looked at Marcus then at Theo then at Felix. "Ano to?"

"She's under me and I ordered her to look after you just in case you do something stupid or worse, betray my brother." Matapang na sagot ni Felix.

"Felix!" Singhal ni Marcus. Felix kind of backed off when Marcus shouted pero hindi ito nagpatinag kaya nagawa pa nitong sumagot.

"Why, brother? Bakit parang siguradong sigurado kayo sa babaeng ito? Did she prove something already? No! Wala pa!"

"She is the only living blood of the great trappers." Theo calmly said, but that didn't stop the tension.

"Kulang iyon! She is not like her father nor her grandfathers! Babae sya! Anong kakayahan nyang gawin ang mga ginagawa ng dati ng magigiting na trappers?!"
