CHAPTER 48

Hindi ko alam kung nakailang dasal na ako habang naghihintay sa loob ng luma naming apartment. 10:30 pa lang naman, at thirty minutes pa ako para magisip kung paano ako tatakas pag nagtangka syang patayin ako. Ugh. Why am I thinking about death anyway? Pinsan ko si Gregory at ayon na rin kay Theo, ako ang winning card ng mga Madriaga. So, it means na hindi nya ako papatayin, hindi ba?

Shit. I cursed when I realized how fucked up my life is. I will be facing the son of the devil that ruined my family and yet, I asked my driver to go buy me something to eat para lang hindi nya malaman na darating dito ang isang Madriaga. I didn't even think that I will need him if ever Greg will try to kill me.

"Thirty minutes early, not bad for a heiress." Agad akong napatayo sa inuupuan ko nang biglang may nagsalita. I saw a man wearing his all black suit and a very familiar smirk. "Cousin." He greeted.

"Nasaan si Kimberly?" Yun agad ang sinabi ko nang nakita ko sya. Napatigil sya bigla sa paglakad nang narinig ang tanong ko. I saw his jaw clenched.

"I did not invite you here to talk about someone." Aniya tapos ay pinagpatuloy ang kanyang paglakad hanggang sa nakaupo sya sa sofa. He stretched his arm tapos ay nagde-kwatro. "So tell me, how does it feel being the Madriaga princess?" He asked while smirking. I chose not to answer. I just stared at him. Umayos sya ng upo bago muling nagsalita. "Alright, I'll tell you what, be a legal Madriaga and own the world." He offered. "Alam ko ang nangyari sainyo ni Marcus, and if you join the organization, you could get even. You could kill him either." Aniya na may malademonyong ngiti.

I clenched my fists and fought real hard to stop the tears from falling. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "If you know things about my personal life, then I take that you know how I lost my virginity." I said directly at him.

Bigla itong napatayo at agad na hinawakan ng mahigpit ang braso ko. Damn, it hurts well. "Did that son of a bitch hurt you?!" He asked furious. Nabigla naman ako sa ipinakita nyang reaksyon. "Did he forced himself into you?!" Muli nyang tanong habang lalong humihigpit ang hawak sa braso ko. "Sabihin mo sakin! Anong ginawa sayo ng gago na iyon?!" Muli nyang tanong.

Hindi ko na napigil ang nagbabadyang pagtulo ng mga luha ko. Buong pwersa ko syang itinulak. "Hindi mo alam?" I asked. He just stared at me while his face was full of anger. "Hindi mo alam?" Muli kong tanong. Natawa na lang ako habang nagpupunas ng luha. "You are offering me a world, a world that ruined all of me!" Sigaw ko sakanya.

"What?" He asked surprise.

"Isn't ironic that you don't know what your empire has done to its heiress?" I let out a bitter laugh. "Your people ruined me. Young as 11, your people ruined me." Nanunumbat kong sabi. "So do not try to offer me the world that ruined me." I said.

He just stared at me, hindi ko alam kung ano ang nakikita ko sa mukha nya – anger, pity, empathy. Hindi ko na alam. All of the a sudden, without a word unspoken, he left me alone and I broke down.

This is the downside of being the Madriaga's heiress. This is the downside of being a queen. My identity is stained. I am dirty. I, for sure, am a rightful owner of the world that killed my childhood. I could only acknowledge the fact that I am a Madriaga just to be untouched but I could not contain the fact that the organization ruined me.
