Jc POV
The familiar number popped up on my phone and I looked over at Haley half asleep. I sat up from the bed and started putting on my shoes.
"What are you doing?, it's late" she mumbled
"I have to go deliver something to a customer real quick" she nodded and laid her head down
I drove to the normal spot and saw the SUV parked in the same place it usually is
"Jc, glad you could make it"
"What is this about dom?"
"The boss is ready to see the girl" I shook my head
"No, not now it's to soon" he crossed his arms
"You don't make the rules Jc"
"Graduation is next week and prom is this weekend she can't miss that"
"You going to prom, do you have soft spot for her?"
"She should graduate before her life gets turned upside down again"
"I know what's going on jc, do you think I'm dumb, you know what the rule was"
"I do"
"I won't tell him but if he finds out...you know what happens"
"I know"
"You can't protect her forever and if you try running you're gonna get caught"
"I won't run but just give me more time"
"Okay but the time is ticking" he gets back in the black SUV and drives off.
My mind is racing as I drive back to Haley's house. She's so beautiful and I just hope she won't hate me when she finds out what I've been doing.
