3rd Person P.O.V
The breeze caused the trees filled with little pink flowers to sway gently. Occasionally a flower would fall, causing (y/n) to giggle as she chased it around to the ground.
Amethyst smiled to herself, watching her girlfriend and her childish antics. The picnic basket she was once holding had somehow found its way to the top of the cliff that was directly above the temple.
It was all (y/n)'s idea. Amethyst wasn't one for picnics apart from the food that came with it but (y/n) had begged they had one on top of the cliff.
Amethyst watched as (y/n) caught the flower, holding it carefully in her palms and continuing the journey to the picnic venue.
"Come on Amethyst, imma have a present for you!" (Y/n) cheered as Amethyst shape shifted into a small car and drove the rest of the way to the picnic.
Once there, her form glowed once more as she restored her body to its usual height. "Present? For me?" Amethyst blushed as (y/n) revealed the flower with a pretty pink gem in the middle.
"Yeah... it's pretty- like you." (Y/n) gushed, moving aside Amethyst's bangs and using the flower to keep the hair away. "I like to see both of your eyes you know."
Amethyst blushed which wasn't something she would normally do. Childlike and tough were the characteristics the crystal gems knew her by. (Y/n) had seen both sides to her, however this side of Amethyst where she was romantically caring and loving- that was for (y/n) and her alone.
"Come 'ere you." She said, pulling a blushing (y/n) towards her, kissing her quickly on the cheek.
(Y/n) giggled lightly before reaching out to an empty picnic basket. "What the- where's all the-" her eyes fell upon her Amethyst who cheekily winked at her and snapped her fingers, pointing towards her.
"Sorry... kinda got hungry while walking here..." she laughed.
"Well since there's nothing to eat up here-"
"I could eat you..." Amethyst offered innocently as (y/n) blushed horrified
"What the heck? No!" (Y/n) laughed, knowing very well the side Amethyst portrayed.
"Well what do you wanna do?" Amethyst sat, cross legged on the floor before shapeshifting into Garnet. "Let's meditate." Her impression of Garnet causing (y/n) to laugh.
"Nah, meditating can wait..." (y/n) said as she watched Amethyst shapeshift. Amethyst caught her girlfriend's eye before smirking.
"Any requests?" She asked. (Y/n) thought for a moment before nodding.
"Can you shape shift into-"
"A horse?" Amethyst transformed instantly, "a cat? A car? A hot girl? A lazy dude? Steven!? Pearl!? GARNET?!" (Y/n) watched as Amethyst kept transforming, shape after shape she went through as many people and objects as possible before (y/n) grabbed her wrists.
"Stop!" She called as Amethyst froze, shapeshifting back to her normal form. "There." (Y/n) said, "this form is best." Amethyst stared at herself before frowning.
"But why? Why this form when I could be someone incredibly better!" She questioned as (y/n) stared.
"Because I fell in love with this form, I love you and this is you, I don't love anything besides you." (Y/n) pointed out as tears formed in Amethyst's eyes.
"But I'm not perfect nor strong... this form is completely useless to me." Amethyst sighed.
"Well that's not entirely true, I wouldn't be here if you were someone else." (Y/n) pointed out as Amethyst looked at her, sniffling while wiping away tears.
"I guess." She finally agreed, hugging (y/n) tightly before sweetly kissing her lips.
