The team is called to the mission room to watch a broadcast of Batman and the two Lanterns approaching the giant alien ship that has entered Earth boundaries.
"Attention. You have entered the boundaries of Earth space. Disengage all weapons and engines. This is your final warning," John aka Green Lantern says.
The aliens respond by powering up their cannon and disintegrating the two green lanterns.
"Code red. Full offensive deploy," Batman says.
The team watches as Batman, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Atom, and Captain Marvel fly out of Batman's ship only to get disintegrated too. Incoming message pops ups and Zatara's face appears.
"Tornado, did you–"
"Yes, Zatara, we saw," Red Tornado responds. "Celestial defenses have failed. Initiate all terrestrial measures."
"Affirmative. See you in the field," Zatara says.
"I must join the League," Red Tornado says. "We will protect the planet at all costs. But should we fail, the responsibility falls to you."
"We stand ready," Kaldur says.
He leaves and the team watches the news. They watch as the whole Justice League is taken down and disintegrated.
"Red Tornado to cave. I fear I am all that remains of the League," Red Tornado says right before he's gone too.
"We are Earth's heroes now," Kaldur says.
"So what are we waiting for, a theme song?" Conner scoffs.
"A strategy. Earth's weapons are ineffective. And it has been made tragically clear a direct attack will not succeed," Kaldur says.
"Checking satellite imagery," Robin says, typing into his watch and brings up a holo-map of the world. "Here's where the aliens are now."
"This one get lost?" Conner asks, pointing at one alone.
"That's Superman's Fortress of Solitude," Robin says.
"Superman has a Fortress of Solitude?" Conner asks annoyed.
"Its power source must have attracted the aliens attention, at least enough to send a scout ship to investigate," Robin says.
"Must be some fortress," Conner scoffs.
"Conner..." Spook says.
"No, it's okay. I guess there's a lot about Superman I'll never know. Uh, you know, now," Conner huffs.
"Doesn't that make it your place now?" Spook voices. "I mean that you'll become Superman now, right? I wonder if he keeps extra uniforms in the fortress?"
"We will target this lone ship," Kaldur interrupts.
"Yeah, break it down, build more, hit those ugly aliens with their own mojo," Wally says, getting a jab from Artemis. "Ow!"
"Martian and Kryptonian in the house," Artemis whispers to him.
"Uh, heh heh. Not that all aliens are automatically ugly..."
They leave and arrive at the fortress rather quickly.
Megan rips off the side of the alien ship. 'Communications disabled. Propulsion disabled.'
Artemis shoots a goo arrow at the exit of the ship. 'And ETs are sealed inside.'
Aqualad comes from under the ice to almost get blasted away, but Wolf and Superboy hit the gun away from shooting him. Superboy holds it in place while Robin types away on his computer-watch.
