Delilah was aware her brothers' awkward attitudes weren't because of her anymore. Their deadly stares, their manners: everything indicated Dean had a problem with Sam and Sam had a problem with Dean. And what was best, sarcastically, Castiel didn't showed any emotion at all which pissed Delilah off greatly. To her, it was inconceivable that an angel of the Lord could be so heartless. Castiel always told her he wasn't created to have human feelings. Delilah, at this response, just wanted to cut his vessel's balls.

Since the day they came back from Puerto Rico with Delilah at their charge, Sam spent a considerable amount of hours far from them. It was really sad for her because she did wanted to have a good relation with him, after all, she was his little sister. But her patience broke a couple of times and she decided to dedicate her love and admiration to Dean and Bobby, both being reciprocal with her. Dean admired the little girl's courage, determination, strenght and wise mind. She was more mature for her age. Bobby admired how good with words and how smart she was. It took her less than a month to, literally, eat all the "hunter's theory" and memorize it. It took her just a couple of training sessions with Bobby to know how to manage weapons. Everything was easier considering the fact that Sam didn't followed the plan: he didn't gave her any maths nor grammar. She had so much free time on her hands, she used it to be practical and become, technically, a true hunter.

Dean knew Sam so well, he couldn't understand why Sam didn't liked Delilah at all. Even if he denied it, he didn't even wanted to give her a chance to prove the person she was.

It never ocurred to Dean that Ruby was behind Sam's behavior. "You can't trust her. As soon as she finds out how strong she is, how she can control plenty of unimaginable things, how he can manage herself in this world, she won't count on you. For her, you'll only be another guy. Because for her, only Dean is worthy enough to be called "brother". She is trouble, Sammy." Ruby used to tell Sam while he drank her blood.

"Ruby is a demon. Really annoying one. She became "friends" with Sammy and she encouraged him to drink demon blood when we found out he had some sort of psychic abilities. He can exorcise demons from the bodies they are using. She made him think he can really kill Lilith."

"Dean, I'm sorry I know you don't like this, but if he can kill Lilith why not let him?"

"He can't!"

Dean and Delilah's conversations were mostly like this. Sam with demon blood, Sam and Ruby... That day Sam came back to Bobby's, Delilah and Dean were there already waiting with Bobby. He didn't saw it coming, Delilah from behind, hit him with a tube and he fell unconscious.

"Dean, don't do this, this is ridiculous." Sam said, when he finally woke up, realizing he was trapped at Bobby's panic room.

"I have to, Sammy. It's for your own safety. Your own good. I'm so sorry."

"Get me out of here Dean!" Sam screamed when he felt Dean's steps walking away. Dean smiled weakly to Delilah when he closed the basement's door. He caressed her cheek softly and walked towards the living room. Bobby did the same, and Delilah heard Sam's agonizing screams. She looked at the ceiling and sighed. This wasn't part of the things she was prepared for. She decided to take a walk around the house. She went to the garage and sat down next to an old car and some tools. She took a pair of electric tweezers on her hands started to play with them. She looked at the sky and closed her eyes, trying to ignore Sam's screams. They were so loud, so painful to hear.

Sam's sight became blurry. His whole body was shaking and he felt a huge pain in his chest. He was sweating, hyperventilating, he just wanted it to stop. As he tried to ignore his pains he suddenly started to feel he wasn't alone. He looked to the right and closed his eyes as frustration and fear overcame him. Alastair wasn't "just a demon." He was "one of the demons." It made a great difference to him. This guy's job at hell was simple. To humans, demons didn't felt any type of pain. Alastair's job was to torture demons. The anger some demons felt after they were tortured by him converted them into even more scarier enemies: their revenge was taken against humans. It was the idea, though. No demon did anything against their own rules or their faith and mental health was at Alastair's hands.
