6: I May Need A little Help
"Wake up everyone! Breakfast will be served in ten." yelled Lauren.
"I'll be down in 5. I need to brush my teeth." I said while yawning.
"I'll meet you downstairs. I'll tell Ms. loud mouth the message."said Mia walking past the door.
I got my toothbrush and brushed my teeth in the guest bathroom. I haven't even called Charles since I've got to Mia's place. But it's not as if he would call me if the positions were switched.
"Morning sleepy head."said Lauren as I got to the last step of the stairs m.
I sat down and thanked her for the food.
I finished my breakfast in no time. Before I even realized it was 12:30pm. It was time to get ready before the ladies got here.
"I haven't even took a shower yet." I whispered to myself.
"Same."said Lauren. I guess I wasn't whispering or Lauren's ears were just that clean.
"I toke a shower earlier. I just need to get these curls under control. I haven't even found an outfit to wear."said Mia.
I guess I wasn't whispering.
Mia had luscious black curly hair that stopped a little beneath her shoulder blades. Lauren's hair was in single braids but her real hair stopped at her shoulders. My hair was curly and stopped at my collarbone.
We all went to our separate assigned rooms and freshened up. I decided to wear a black dress that flared out at the waist. It stopped a little above my knee. I paired it up with a pair of turquoise shoes.
I heard a knock on the door. "Come."
"Does this look okay?" Lauren sincerely asked.
She wore a plaid skirt with a collared red blouse. She had on a pair of six inch pumps. She had put her long braids into a ponytail. She looked as good as ever.
"Okay? You look perfect."
"Thank God but is you single or nah?"asked Lauren. I began to laugh.
Mia walked in looking gorgeous as always. She wore a black and white dress. She had on black pumps and her makeup was looking right. Her hair was slicked back into a bun.
"You guys look so good than there's me stunting on both of y'all." said Mia sticking her tongue out.
"Try again." Lauren smacked her lips together.
Mia sweetly smiled. "I'm obviously kidding. We all look like somebody's baby mama."
"Uh-huh. I'm not cosigning for that one."
The door bell rang. "Thats them. When you girls are ready just join us in the living room." Mia instructed.
"We'll be done soon. Don't worry."said Lauren. "We? I'm ready."
"I need to use the bathroom. Just wait for me. I don't want to walk down by myself."
Lauren hurried off to the bathroom.
"I'm coming." I heard the toilet flush and the sink run for a few seconds.
Mia walked down the stairs. Lauren opened the bathroom door pulling down her skirt.
I grabbed her hand before she could respond. I was about to drag her down the stairs until she quickly spoke.
"Hello. 6 inch heels! I need to go at my own pace. I'm not about to fall and break my leg."
"You can't even walk in it. You need my help."
"Girl bye. You were about to drag me down these stairs." She said stepping in front of me.
She stumbled down on the third step. She grabbed onto the railing to gather herself together.
"I may need a little help. Just a little."said Lauren squinting her eyes.
I linked my arm with her own and walked her down the stairs carefully.
