Falling For You

Sam silently led me down the hall and towards his room.

"Wait here." Sam walked to the hall closet and pulled my backpack out. He walked back over and handed it to me. "Go ahead in and change first, I'll come in after." I nodded and headed inside.

Inside the room was bright. The dominant color was yellow which shined even in the dim candle lighting. Sam's bed was off to the side with a huge colorful blanket on top. On the opposite wall was a bookshelf full of books. I quickly changed so I could let Sam in.

Sam walked in and motioned to his closet, "You can leave your bag in there." The closet was next to an armchair with a lovely blue blanket on it. I walked over as Sam walked towards his dresser.

I lifted my bag up and accidentally bumped into the chair, knocking something over. I quickly tossed my bag into the closet and then turned around and picked up what I dropped.

"Needles? Sam, you knit?" I held up two golden needles. I looked into the chair and saw a basket of yarn.

Sam sped walked over to me and quickly tossed the needles back into the basket. "I uh. I mean that..." Sam slumped his shoulders. "Yes, they are."

I looked at the blankets on the chair and on his bed. "Wait...did you make these?" I walked over to his bed and felt the blanket. 'So soft...'

"Yea, I made them. I've made something for everyone." I looked at him as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I could even make something for you if you want?"

My eyes sparkled, "Really!?!"

Sam laughed at me, "Sure but for now lets sleep."

We both laid in the bed, facing away from each other. "When I get too angry or upset I knit. Anger normally leads to destruction so I decided to make something instead." He took the ponytail out of his hair and then fell asleep.

'His anger fuels his favorite hobby. Talk about using something bad to do something good.'
