He towered over me. His messy, ruffled hair lightly brushed my forehead as I felt him enter me.

He was smooth at it in every way. He started off slow but got faster with time. He let out soft, muffled moans and brushed my hair away from my face.

"Oh god," I managed, "Luke!" He gave me the biggest smirk as he pounded harder. I dug my hands into the sand. He knew he was making me feel amazing.

When it ended, we collapsed side-by -side, out of breath.

"That was... incredible," he panted. "You are... incredible..." I smiled and told him he was, too. "No, Hall, understand that was really special to me," he said in disbelief that I was being serious.

"Me too, though... I know," I muffled softly.

He didn't say anything else until we were putting back on our undergarments, and he looked over to me and whispered something I'll never forget.

"Haleigha Kathrine Jenkins... I love you."

I bit my lip and held my tongue. Loved me. Loved me.

I had laid out in the sand again. He rolled over to lay at my side. I was in my bikini again and he was in his boxers. I hesitated to let any words spill out of my mouth just yet. The last time I had heard those words was a long time ago... Back when I was with my old boyfriend and he was with his old girlfriend, Aleisha. We both had been left heartbroken. Nothing like young love ever lasts anyways, you know. Not unless you stick to your promises. Love comes and goes. But when it's there, it's actually the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And I saw it in Luke. I saw it in his eyes, the way they glittered when we looked at each other... Just like they had been only minutes ago.

But I've learned to build my walls up-- never let anybody back in... That's why when I first met Luke I didn't allow myself to fall for him. But here we were now...

"I think I... love you back," I finally said as tears flooded my eyes. How long had I really subconsciously wanted to say that? He turned to me, breathing heavily.

"Baby, baby no! Why are you crying?" He wrapped his muscular arms around me and held me tight. He nuzzled his head in my neck. I felt his eyelashes fluttering up against my skin as he tried to hush me.

"It's been so long since I've let anyone in," I admitted, whether that was sexually or mentally...

He rocked me in his strong, ripped arms. His body was warm and sweaty and his voice; calm.

"Shh, I'm here now... Okay? Everything is going to be alr-"

His cell phone exploded with that same catchy ringtone as it had this morning from inside his pant pocket. I sniffled and wiped my eyes. He didn't move. "Are you gonna get it?" I questioned as he rubbed my shoulder to calm me.

"No, I'm only here for you right now," he insisted.

"Please, go ahead and check it. What if it's Mikey or one of them?" He finally nodded and went over to retrieve his phone.

"Hello?... S'goin' on, mate?...... What?!..... Calum, I'm not ready!....... Are you serious? ...... WAIT, BUT-....... Hello?...."

"Uh...? Is everything ok?"

"That was Calum and apparently our band is on in ten at Ripple Stadium! I'm not even ready!" He ran his fingers through his hair in stress. I stood up to comfort him. He always did an amazing job at his gigs-- I'd been to every one of them.

"Don't worry!" I kissed his cheeks. "You'll do fine! I promise! Hurry, let's get our clothes on! We need to go!" I jumped with excitement. I loved watching Luke preform.
