'Jadia' I looked up to see Ethan 'Eth? What the hell? It's like four in the morning?' I said rubbing my eyes, I realised he was crying 'Ethan... What's wrong?' He stared at me with wet cheeks and red eyes.

I saw that he was alone. He was never alone. Because of his brother, his twin, my Grayson. We've been dating for a while now, and just like it was in every relationship we have our ups and downs. We promised each other that we would never do anything stupid, I just hope he kept his promise.

'What happened? Where is he?' I asked, panic rising in my voice, Ethan looked at me in shock when several black vans came speeding down the road 'Inside. Now!' He yelled and pushed me into my house, locking it afterwards. He pushed the bookcase in front of the door and went to close all the curtains 'Go upstairs, come on' He grabbed my arm and went to pull me to my room.

I froze and pulled away from him 'Eth... What's going on?' I asked, on the verge of freaking out 'Where's Grayson?' I asked, my voice broke as I said his name 'Jadia I'm so sorry...' I shook my head in denial 'No... You're lying' I refused to follow him so he ended up throwing me over his shoulder and carrying me up the stairs.

He dropped me on my bed and pushed my desk in front of the door 'Ethan, For god's sake what is going on?' I asked shaking him as I cried, He looked down at me and hugged me 'The people who are here took Gray... They killed him and now they're here to kill us' Our hearts were racing and we were breathing hard 'Why?' I asked. I hated how weak I sounded.

Ethan sighed and his voice was shaky 'I don't know. Jadia, I don't know' I jumped at the sound of glass shattering and loud voices that came from downstairs 'Eth..' I said shaking with fear, he tried to hide his feelings but I could see how confused he was 'I'm scared' I said, burrying my face in his chest. He clung onto me 'I'm sorry' He said, we stared into each others eyes while footsteps made their way towards us.

I jumped and cried everytime the door was barged into 'Come on' Eth said gently, he pulled me to my bed and we sat there in eachother's arms, crying on eachother's shoulders, waiting for the inevitable to happen.

The door flew open and the desk smashed into my wardrobe, I clung to Ethan tightly as people that were dressed in black and carrying guns poured into my room 'Ethan Dolan. Jadia Green. You've been summoned' I looked up to a face I thought I'd never see again. Ethan froze beside me, we both had wet cheeks and I felt both our hearts skip a beat, Eth spoke up, throat dry and eyes red 'Gray?'. There was a sharp pain in my neck and everything went black.

I woke up on cold stone, on top of a skyscraper in the middle of a desert, alone. I remembered what happened before I was knocked out and sobs racked my chest, I crawled towards the roof edge and looked to see what awaited below me. I sat up and let my legs dangle off the edge.

I wanted to sleep, I felt drained, like all the life was sucked out of me. I was a dead(wo)man walking.

I stared up at the Sun. It hung in the sky waiting for it's next stage in life, unaware that when it does so all life on Earth will cease to exist. The early morning light drew pattens on the sky and painted the small clouds that collected themselves around the Sun.

I heard almost silent footsteps coming my way. Almost.

'Grayson Bailey Dolan... You are the biggest arse I've ever met' I said, not needing to check whether or not it was him. I knew.

He knelt down behind me and wrapped his arms around me, he burried his head in my neck and I felt his tears drip onto my shoulder 'I'm so sorry Jay... You have no idea-' I interupted him instantly 'You're right. I have no idea, why don't you enlighten me?' I asked, shrugging him off me.

'Did you read the post on the door?' I refused to look at him 'Yes' I answered 'But I don't care about that, I don't care about your little war games. I want to know why? Why did you leave me? Do you not care about the effect you have on other people?' He sighed heavily and sat on the edge of the roof with me.

'Your feelings have changed for me?' He asked, now aware of what he did. Instead of answering him I stood up and walked away 'You hate me that much?' He asked, looking back at me over his shoulder 'I don't hate you' I said.

I turned around to see him step off the edge of the roof. My blood ran cold and a scream found it's way up my throat, everything played in slow motion as I ran towards where he jumped, reaching over the edge trying to grip at his jacket before he got too far away from being saved.

I was breathing hard as my hand gripped his wrist, He smiled up at me as he tightened his grip on my wrist 'Just double checking' I was tempted to drop him there and then 'I hate you Gray' I said. He got secure footing on the wall and let go of my wrist and clung to the wall instead.

I stayed leaning over the edge as he climbed his way up to me, The Sun's light danced across his body and caused his shadow to follow him up the side of the building. His hands gripped the edge of the roof and he pulled himself up slightly so his face was inches from mine 'I love you Jay' He said, moving one of his hands to cup my cheek. I sighed and leaned into his touch 'I know' I said and pecked him on the cheek.

He smiled and pulled himself up, we laid there, together on the roof as the Sun rose higher and higher into the sky.
