First Shift (Celestial Beings)

Catherine: I left Luna in the restroom so that I can find Serenity. This game is getting really old she has ran from baths since birth. I give up after thinking of how much paperwork my mate and I have to go through to ensure that all packs have everything that they need to sustain a healthy pack and kingdom. Being king and queen of a whole race takes a lot of energy from you. I walk back to the bathroom trying to stop this stressful feeling I have in the back of my head "Luna hunny just go ahead and bathe before your water gets too cold we can find your sister later." I round the corner to pop my head into the girl's bathroom and I see that Luna is no longer there her water is still in the tub but it doesn't look like she has bathed. I have a nagging feeling in the back of my head plummets to the pit of my stomach and my wolf will not stop pacing in my mind. I know that something is happening but I can't get a feel for what it is. I run to my mate's office and mind link the guards on my way there to get together a search party quickly."Dear goddess please look over my girls"

Moon Goddess: "The time has come, now it all begins. Nix ,Ellie come to me." Nix and Ellie now stand in the palace of the moon in front of the moon goddess with confusion written on their faces. One moment they are attempting to comfort their companions whom were writhing in pain and next thing they know they are here. "Nix, Ellie I have called you here because the twins are going through their first shift. You 2 are not permitted to be anywhere near them during this time. Only the family are to be there for the shift but as soon as they come to then you will meet them on the mesa and reestablish your bonds. This shift is the most important and will damage your connections with your charges. I cannot say much more than that other than training needs to be started and their training shall only be held on the mesa that I have blessed for them. That is the one and only rule I am setting. If my rule is broken I cannot cloak them and the dangers of the darkness will rise acknowledging their power as a threat. I know that you are attacked to them but you must wait until the transformation is complete before you return to the earth realm. Until then you two will stay here and do as you please. You can even watch over the twins to pass your time here. You will not get hungry or sleep unless you choose to do so in this realm. You may feel some pain due to the break in connection but t shall pass quickly.

Nix: "Not to step out of line or be rude Goddess but why must we be separated from our charges in their time of need. This is when I would figure we are needed the most." Nix suppresses a screech of frustration to ensure that she doesn't sound as frustrated as she actually feels. "I know that I sound snarky but I am not only a protector but also a companion and I am having a hard time not attacking you. My Phoenix instincts are seeing you as a threat and an obstacle for attempting to keep me from Serenity." I put my head down to show submission after my comment knowing that this type of outburst could go either way and I would like it to go my way and have either an explanation for why I must stay away or just get to go to my companion I feel her pain but it is decreasing by the minute due to the breaking of the bond.

The moon goddess' features morphed from the crystal clear, smooth and sweet expression that is known to all that have come in the presence of the moon goddess into one of the deadliest killer faces. Dark hollowed out eyes replaced the green ones, the pearly white teeth were replaced by sharp fangs, and the pink tinted nails turned into pitch black talons with green magic glowing through them. She sneered at Nix with malice and the intent clear in her eyes that a lesson needed to be taught for disrespect shown today. Nix felt the heat of the goddess' anger and kept her head bowed. Ellie was frozen in place the only movement that she was able to do was to move her head slightly to see nix with her eyes on the floor and a terrified look that said I should have just kept my mouth shut. The tension was so thick in the air then there was a spark of electric that has both companions looking at the ground terrified for their lives knowing that the goddess was about to strike. The air was suffocating making it hard for them to breath. Taking short breaths was making them dizzy the lack of sufficient oxygen almost making them black out. Then their ears catch a a small sigh and they chance peaking up at the goddess through their lashes.

Moon Goddess: I am beyond angry at your blatant disrespect and your ability to not trust the goddess that gave you to your companions, but I cannot fully blame you Nix for I gave you strength and courage to stand up to any foe that could cause harm to your charge. With this in mind I am going to explain why you must heed my warnings to stay away." She releases her anger allowing them to take a deep breath of much needed air and reverted back to her Goddess state. You can physically see both protectors relax and take a deep breath releasing a sigh of relief. " My dear Phoenix if you are in the presence of either twin during their first shift their bodies will recognize you two as a their companions and protectors and will attempt to reaffirm your connection right away. The only problem with that is the girl's body's will be in a vulnerable state during the change. to put it bluntly the reaffirmation of your protection bond could cause the death of the twins and the destruction of the world as we know it. Their body must heal which is why after their shift they will be in a deep sleep once they awaken you will be able to see them and the bond will be reborn with barely any pain this time.
