Standing between book shelves Ye Gui Feng holds a book of the Yao family's history records.

"Hmm..."

Looking through the records Ye Gui Feng managed to find more information regarding the Chi family.

"Chi family... This grudge goes back to the start of the ages of the ancestors."

When Yao Zhen Tian had attempted to unify the entirety of the demonic cultivation world only the Chi family had resisted.

On paper there was meant to be a marriage between the Yao family and Chi family. The two families were meant to be allied together after that marriage but the Chi family had backed down on the day of the marriage right at the exchange of vows between the prince and princess of the two families.

The Chi family princess struck the Yao family prince and killed him. A war broke out and to this day that grudge still hasn't been extinguished.

The main forces in that war had been those at the peak of the Transcendence realm along with those that are at the True Immortal realms.

Blood had been stained and the members of the two families fell one after another. It is said that the heavens had turned completely red that day.

But in the end neither side had won. This grudge along with the details of this war has been passed down to the members of the two families.

Should a Yao family clansman see a Chi family clansman or vice versa an argument is sure to break out.

In modern times neither one of the two families are willing to offend the other to cause a total war to break out due to the risk and losses involved.

If another war breaks out it could be detrimental to both families regardless of which family comes out on top of the other.

"Sounds far too one sided of a story... I wonder what the other side thought of this."

Historical records are all bias depending on which side is talking so Ye Gui Feng as someone who is a mere bystander won't take everything at face value without hearing both sides of the story.

"Hmm oh well. Something like nobility, politics, and the grand scheme of things are too much for a commoner like me to understand. I merely want to stay alive that's all."

For the next three months Ye Gui Feng goes through the archives before finally deciding to head off to the Savage Beast Mountains.

Within the past three months words got around the entirety of the Yao family quickly.

"Did you hear? That Ye Gui Feng was a bastard child of one of our patriarchs."

"I've heard. That sure came out as a shocker."

"He got chased by so many clansmen and still managed to survive."

"He probably has experience with being chased or is just really lucky that his old man showed up on time."

This time even the clansmen couldn't keep themselves from bringing up Ye Gui Feng in a conversation.

Originally these clansmen didn't care as much about Ye Gui Feng considering how he was just an ordinary servant disciple.

However things are different after Ye Gui Feng had been recognized as a clansman through the painting of Ancestor Yao Zhen Tian.

"He's finally heading off..."

Yao Nie Tian felt like he had waited forever as he watches Ye Gui Feng step onto the teleportation array to reemerge on the mountain peaks of the Savage Beast Mountain.
