The Nie family clansmen and servant disciples investigated the eastern most mountain but found nothing unusual outside of it being replaced by demonic beasts.

This isn't uncommon as they have known about there being a fierce competition between the magic beasts and the demonic beasts when it comes down to owning territory here.

Without being able to communicate with the demonic beasts like Ye Gui Feng they couldn't possibly know that there was a human instigator behind this incident.

"Hmm."

Leisurely relaxing within the nest of the demonic eagle Ye Gui Feng with the True Shadow Body by his side cultivates.

The creation part of the True Shadow Body's art is only the first part. The second part is meant to allow Ye Gui Feng to swap places with it.

Ye Gui Feng imagines a battle where he would be forced to take a devastating attack head on while the True Shadow Body is only a few meters away. If he can successfully complete this part of the True Shadow Body's cultivation then it can mean the difference between life and death in a critical battle.

Time passes as days fly. Within this time frame Ye Gui Feng practices switching with his True Shadow Body.

After a whole two weeks of practice Ye Gui Feng's figure blurs and slides to the left. This swaps the spot that he sits on with the True Shadow Body's.

"Success!"

Having gotten down the basics for this technique Ye Gui Feng rejoices. Now it is just a matter of practicing to increase his range of switching.

[Lord reporting.]

"Let's hear it. How's the situation while I was away?"

Ye Gui Feng stands up as a demonic weasel comes to report to him.

[There's been a few attacks from the magic beasts that tried to get the mountain back but in the meantime it's secure.]

"I see. Anything of interest that we can take advantage of?"

[It's said that the boss of the demonic beasts is the Míméng Tiān Láng (迷蒙天狼 Translation: Sirius of the Misty Heaven). If we can obtain its support then being able to safely walk around in the Nie family's domain just might be upon us.]

"Sirius of the Misty Heavens..."

Just the name sounds proud as Ye Gui Feng furrows his eyebrows.

[Brat this female wolf is quite powerful. She's at the Transcendence realm.]

The demonic eagle lowers her head to speak.

"Really?"

[Well she does have a daughter though.]

"Oh?"

Taking hostages and taking someone else's child isn't something that Ye Gui Feng would want to do after the first time. But regardless he had to meet this mother wolf.

"I guess I'll go pay her a visit tonight."

Continuing to practice switching with his True Shadow Body Ye Gui Feng wait for midnight.

*Bam!* Nie Qian Ye grinds her teeth together in rage as she slams a hand onto the table causing it to break.

"Still haven't found him?"

"No."

Ri Tao'er bows apological as she answers. Despite there being an effort on the Nie family's part to hunt down "San Xiao" there is still no leads.
