Legacy Disciple Commemoration

"Oh in that case you're not too bad off here."

Ye Gui Feng smiles as he recounts the things that he been preoccupied with for the last month.

Sitting in front of Ye Gui Feng are Long Huangrong, Feng Jian Yun, Gui Ling Ling who he has just learned is actually named Li Shuiling. Behind these three are five other disciples of the Burial Grounds Sect and the Blue River Sect.

The place that they are at is rather secluded and devoid of other sect disciples. It was a quiet place with a large tree placing a shade over their heads.

Throughout his time here in the Heavenly Demon Sect Ye Gui Feng has only been spending all of his time in his Immortal Cave without anyone to chat with.

Thinking of this Ye Gui Feng can't help but frown as he told them about his stay here. He wouldn't head out often but every now and then he would to ask a bit more about the sect in general which leads to a trip outside.

"How am I not bad off right now? I'm so bored every day. I really do wish that you all can stay here."

"Xiao Feng as a carp I also want to pass through the dragon's gate. But it's rather difficult."

Feng Jian Yun jokingly opens his mouth to speak. He and Li Shuiling had both reached the Core Formation realm after they left the Burial Grounds Sect to report back to the Blue River Sect.

But these matters of them being spies from another sect aren't anything important now considering how both sects are now allies under the Demon Immortal Faction's flag.

"Difficult? There's plenty of Core Formation realm sect disciples for you to pick on. You want status in this sect? Fight for it."

"What do you mean?"

Li Shuiling raises her eyebrows in curiosity. Here in the Vast Sky Empire the difference of righteous and demonic sects is not all that much.

If anything all of these sects might appear either demonic or righteous on the outside but they are really just neutral in their moral standings.

With a smile Ye Gui Feng begins to explain.

"It's exactly what I mean. Beat up someone of your cultivation level and then take their identification medallions to be accepted into this sect. Let me tell you this sect is very different from what we're all used to."

Ye Gui Feng begins to explain the circumstances of this sect.

Power makes right. With Ye Gui Feng's status as a Legacy Disciple and with his relationships to those in the Burial Grounds Sect it isn't all that difficult to make arrangements for them to stay here so long as they can prove themselves to be worthy of this sect's resources.

"Look my Immortal Cave is something that I stole from that Little Doggie Ding. Even a home here is something that you must work for. If you can beat up someone in this sect you're guaranteed authority and status."

The fierce sense of competition in the Heavenly Demon Sect is what makes them powerful. Everyone is fighting over resources and there are always events hosted to give out valuable pills that can help with one's cultivation.

It isn't all that different from the Burial Grounds Sect where certain sect disciples would kill the other in the hopes of proving their status.

This is something that Feng Jian Yun had to deal with in the two combat factions of the Burial Grounds Sect in the past.

"This might actually work out..."

The more that Feng Jian Yun hears from Ye Gui Feng the more confident he got in terms of being able to secure himself a spot here.

Li Shuiling thought very much the same along with Long Huangrong. All three of them had eyes of immense interest as they nod.

"If that doesn't work you can always participate in the sect's recruitment event that takes place every five years. Coincidently this year marks the fifth year from what I've heard. Those that can't take another sect disciple's medallions as proof of status can just join that event and hopefully come out on top or receive recognition."

"Let's try the first method first."

"We can pass on this information to everyone that's back in the Moon and Stars Kingdom."

"You all must work hard here. I don't want to spend my time in this sect all alone amongst strangers."

A bit of the old Ye Gui Feng emerges as he encourages the sect disciples of his former sect to which they all smile.

As they left to figure out what to do Ye Gui Feng sighs with relief.

"This is great. With the princess's skills she shouldn't have any issue with beating up someone of the same cultivation. Feng Jian Yun needn't be said. As for that Li Shuiling she should be fine as well. Looks like I'll finally have some company."

With a nod Ye Gui Feng returns back to his cave as he happily waits for those of the Burial Grounds Sect to make their stance here in the Heavenly Demon Sect.

"*Sigh* my commemoration as master's Legacy Disciple is tomorrow..."

Ye Gui Feng decides to turn in early for the day considering the importance of the event that's going to happen tomorrow.

On the dawn of the very next day Ye Gui Feng emerges from within his cave to appear at the center of the sect's main landmass dressed in his Legacy Disciple attire of black and red.

The arrangements of decorations are done nicely with a giant red carpet and an elevated stage at the front of a large crowd made up of sect disciples and elders.

Xie Mo Xin stands at the stage and sitting down behind him is Yang Jian Hao who shows a rare sign of being nervous.

Sitting down by Yang Jian Hao's sides are the important elders of the other factions that he is getting accustomed to talking with.

On either side of the long red carpet are various sect disciples dressed in black along with a few lower status elders of the sect.

Amongst this crowd are the disciples of the Burial Grounds Sect and the Blue River Sect who look on with excitement.

Other important guests include clansmen of subordinate families that are loyal to the Heavenly Demon Sect that have been invited here to bear witness to Ye Gui Feng's Legacy Disciple commemoration.

"I heard this Ye Gui Feng came from the Moon and Stars Kingdom."

"Didn't he originally came from the Country of the Bright Sun?"

"Regardless of where this person came from today is considered his rise to prominence."

"Prominence? That's only if the sect disciples acknowledge him."

The sect disciples of the other factions within the sect are here mainly as a means of formality. At the same time some of them show a clear hint of disapproval towards Ye Gui Feng who had just popped out of nowhere to take on the status of a Legacy Disciple.

The sect master of the Heavenly Demon Sect didn't show his face but the various faction leaders did, all to get a good look at Ye Gui Feng and see if he will be a threat to their own Legacy Disciples for the position of future sect master.

At the same time an important event will be coming up soon in the sect and it involves the future of the Legacy Disciples greatly.

If they are successful then the means of assailing to the Soul Separation realm isn't a dream but a true reality.

Standing at the elevated stage Xie Mo Xin begins to speak.
