Using the Ice Demon Grand Magic Ye Gui Feng creates a shell of ice around his body and takes on the third bolt!

The ice shell cracks under the force of this strike and soon the fourth bolt follows!

Continuously reinforcing the ice shell Ye Gui Feng grits his teeth and endures.

(I want to be strong! I want to reach immortality! I want to be with her!)

Ye Gui Feng thought back to his goal in reaching immortality. It was to be with Xiao Ju Hong. That is his simplistic desire for wanting to obtain immortality.

It wasn't anything grand to boast about if someone asks him why he cultivates but to Ye Gui Feng that was really all that matters to him.

*Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!* under the hammering strikes of the lightning bolts that have struck him nine times by now Ye Gui Feng continues to hold beneath the ice shell that's continuously being reinforced.

Wei Hailan bitterly looks upon this scene alongside the other patriarchs. She looks to Xie Mo Xin but the old devil seems to be purposefully avoiding her gaze.

You might not be talented in any way, shape, or form but I can tell that you have an unyielding heart that won't give into any kind of obstruction that will block you from your path of travel. I might have failed in my immortal Tribulation but that doesn't mean that you would as well. You need to remain strong."

Xie Mo Xin who had failed in obtaining immortality didn't have that many years left to live so he couldn't bear to look to Wei Hailan as he had failed in owing up to his promises to her.

Within his heart Xie Mo Xin desperately hopes that Ye Gui Feng can succeed from where he had left off.

*CRACKLE!!!* the tenth lightning bolt approaches but unlike the previous nine bolts this one is pure white!

It seems to contain the will of the heavens as it strikes down on Ye Gui Feng and shatters his ice shell completely!

Ye Gui Feng is tossed back as he spews out a mouthful of blood. He glares at the Tribulation Cloud with bloodshot eyes.

They are deemed as a vile creature of disaster in the eyes of the heavens. As that is the case for a demon to obtain immortality it is three times as hard compared to an ordinary human.

In modern times demonic beasts aren't even allowed to traverse immortality due to their demonic origins.

Only a practitioner that's been transformed into a demon is allowed to have a chance at obtaining immortality due to their former human origin.
