Southern Mountain Ranges

The members of the Awakened Corpses Faction numbers 29 all look towards the giant group in front of them with a smug expression on their faces.

"Ahem."

Hou Jia Bao the one that's generally in charge of overseeing the situation here smiles while Ju Tongzi stands off to the side with tools in hand.

In front of Ju Tongzi is a table and resting on that table is a corpse.

"Right since the sect has given us orders to give brothers and sisters a demonstration on how to make a Jiangshi I shall have my junior here show you. Now enjoy."

Every single member of the Awakened Corpses Faction had to go through this rite of acceptance before they are allowed to work on a corpse and join the faction.

And for these people it is no different.

Throughout the entire demonstration the people gathered there vomited as they either left quickly or fainted on the spot causing the smugness of those in the faction to increase as they all smile from ear to ear.

"*Sigh*"

Ye Gui Feng sighs and shakes his head as he recalls his first day in the Awakened Corpses Faction where Elder Shu had given him that demonstration.

Regardless of them not having enough corpses or not they needed more manpower capable of operating on corpses to create these Jiangshis.

Ye Gui Feng had already handed some of the poisonous herbs to the Five Pills Faction while the two main combat factions of the sect are getting ready to leave for the mountain ranges.

Most of the sect disciples that are at the Core Formation realm of cultivation are expected to go and Ye Gui Feng is included in their numbers.

Going along with them is Yang Jian Hao and Patriarch Dun while the three patriarchs of the Heavenly Pillar Sect and Wei Hailan are expected to remain here in the sect just in case.

"San Xiao you ready?"

Long Huangrong walks up to Ye Gui Feng.

"When are you going to stop calling me that?"

"Who knows?"

"*Sigh* let's go."

Turning around Ye Gui Feng and Long Huangrong head outside. The entire group that's meant to be going to the mountain ranges are made up of people of from both sects. This is mainly done to get everyone used to each other.

Had Ye Gui Feng not made those from the Heavenly Pillar Sect surrender by the means that he used there would be more friction to deal with. But everyone mainly kept their peace in the manners of "so long as you don't provoke me then I won't provoke you."

"We need some way to break the ice at some point... *Sigh* forget it, forget it. We'll deal with the situation as we come to it."

With all the preparations done the group heads for the southern mountains that's said to be filled with Core Formation realm beasts in the deeper regions.

They traveled there by the means of using the Earth Sword as a carrier. Ye Gui Feng and the two patriarchs along with Long Huangrong stand at the forefront of the sword's tip.

"Xiao Feng if you see a suitable beast that you like later feel free to take it as a mount."

"Ah... I hadn't thought about that..."

Yang Jian Hao reminds Ye Gui Feng of this. A cultivator generally has a mount to accompany them in their lives and they make for good pets.

Although Ye Gui Feng has Jiangshis that he can use for traveling that takes energy so it was a lot more convenient to have a proper mount instead.

"I definitely need to acquire a handsome and loyal mount to show off with."

Continuing along in merry spirit the group eventually makes it to the foot of the southern mountains. From there they continue to fly along on the Earth Sword.

Along the way they pass by a lot of Qi Condensation realm and Foundation Establishment realm beasts that immediately chose to steer clear of their group.

Upon finding some Core Formation realm beasts in the area the Earth Sword lands as everyone got off to stand around in a wide opened area.

Trees surround them as every person picked a location to stand at with Ye Gui Feng and the patriarchs standing at the center.

Taking out a Scented Devil Lady Ye Gui Feng has Yang Jian Hao wave a hand causing the winds to carry the scent around.

Every person remains on guard as they wait to see how many this plant will attract.

"...!"

It didn't take all that long before ten beasts charge towards the group while smashing apart the trees in their way.

Long Huangrong takes out the metal war fan and tosses it out like a disc. The war fan in the midst of its travel splits apart as metal feathers soar like flying daggers before they pierce into the body of a giant tiger that issues out a pained groan and falls to the ground.

Within a brief 20 minutes the group kills the beasts and begin to extract their cores.

"Ugh gross..."

"Ours just ate something so quit talking about yours being gross..."

Ye Gui Feng looks to the sight of the two sect's disciples extracting the cores with a satisfied look. The tension between them shouldn't be that bad.

"Ten at the same time. How people many did we bring?"

"Around 150 people."

"15 to a group then."

Under the orders of the two patriarchs ten groups are formed. Each of the groups have a combination of the two sect's disciples.

"Each of you take this herb and look around for beasts. Use your storage bags to carry their corpses back."

"Be careful to not stray too far from your groups as well. We'll be in the air. If anything happens use your jade slips to send a message."

"To motivate you all there will be rewards depending on how many your group manages to hunt."

This ignites the competitive spirits of the groups nicely but at the same time Ye Gui Feng is slightly worried that they'll get into a fight over a beast's corpse later...

"Alright work hard little junior brothers and sisters. Your senior brother Ye here won't compete with you all for rewards."

This makes the disciples let out a sigh of relief. It should be noted that if Ye Gui Feng unleashes just a single one of his Jiangshis that would be more than enough for him to level out the entire forest in a day.

Considering Lieyan Bao Long's area of effect abilities it really won't take long to burn the entire forest down.

With his body exuding dark mist and ghostly spirits Ye Gui Feng walks in his own chosen direction and the two patriarchs left him to his own devices.
