Wedding Planning

Annabeth's POV

I woke up to the light streaming through the windows and through the canopy's curtains. I pulled myself up into sitting position and rubbed my eyes. I groaned. How early was it? I thought I told seaweed brain to wake me up at 8:30 so I could be on time for the fitting. Piper, Hazel, Thalia, me, and some Aphrodite girls were being forced to try on bridesmaid dresses. Actually, the Aphrodite girls, Piper and Hazel weren't being forced. Neither were Thalia and I... we were charmspeaked. I hoped we could at least buy a light blue dress to bring out my gray eyes, but I think Piper had other plans. Her wedding colors were royal purple and white. She told us to try on purple dresses, and no white.

"Ok ladies! Get to work!" Piper squeaked in excitement. Thalia and I groaned while everyone else scrambled around in packs of two, arguing which style dress looked best.

"Look!" Thalia whispered to me and pointed toward Piper. Piper was glowing pink!

"The blessing of Aphrodite!" I whispered back. "I've only seen it once on Piper, right after she got claimed." Piper's hair was perfect, and her makeup mimicked the goddess' herself.

"I thought she was going to get Aphrodite's blessing on her wedding day, but it looks like today also." Our conversation was interrupted by Hazel, handing us each two hangers.

"We voted and these two were chosen! Unfortunatley, we had a tie. So, you two are the deciding votes! Go try these on!" Hazel spoke a bit quicker than usual, maybe out of excitement. A sales lady with a long nose and an ugly bob showed us out way to the changing rooms. I slipped off my jeans and Camp T-shirt and changed into the dress. The material was comfortable, and the dress went to my ankles, like a traditional Greek dress. The purple was mysterious yet happy, and suited me very well.

"Perfect" I whispered to myself. I walked out in the dress and told Piper my vote.

"I love that one too! And it looks so gorgeous on you!" Piper squealed like a guinea pig. Thalia came out next, her vote the same as mine. It was decided!
