Percy's POV

Stupid Aphrodite, she just gave my plan away! Why did she have to be so stupid? My eyes flashed with anger toward the goddess. Oh well, now or never. I got down on one knee and reached into my pocket for the ring. I pulled it out and popped open the box.

"Annabeth Chase, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" I stammered, unsure of her response. Her eyes twinkled.

"Yes." She whispered, awe-stricken. I grinned. With battle-like reflexes, I grabbed her legs and picked her up bridal style. She shrieked happily.

"Percy!" She giggled.

"No way Annabeth Jackson. I'm not putting you back down. In fact, I think this calls for a swim."Annabeth began to protest, but I was already sprinting toward the lake. I jumped in the lake without hesitation. The minute we touched the water I put my hands on her face and kissed her like never before. She kissed me back. I quickly willed the water around us, forming our own little bubble. We broke away from our kiss and sucked in a big gulp of air then went at it again. she grabbed clumps if my hair, pulling me closer. I did the same. When we finally broke away from our kiss, Annabeth began to laugh.

"Deja vu, seaweed brain." She giggled. I smirked.

"Hey Annabeth, do you think the wedding's over yet?" I asked.

"Yes, it was just ending when Aphrodite showed up." She said the word Aphrodite like it was the worst thing imaginable. "That goddess is truly a nut." She laughed.

"Nuttier than Hera?" I asked. Annabeth laughed even harder.

"Not even close!" She smiled.

"I love you." I spoke. Annabeth smiled.

"I love you too, seaweed brain." She responded.

"Speaking of love, you have a certain promise to fulfill..." I reminded her.

"And what is that?" She asked. I grinned. Her mouth dropped, realizing.

"I-you-Fine!" She threw up her arms in exasperation.

"Come on," I said, taking her hand. "I think it's bedtime." I grinned. Annabeth's face turned bright red. I willed our bubble to move up, and we broke the surface. I got on shore, and helped Annabeth up.

"Next time you decide to jump in a lake, warn me first." Annabeth grumbled, wringing her hair. I smirked. We began to make our way back to our house, hand in hand. This was going to be one heck of a night.
