* This is fine! Not every story needs to be super tragic and gritty. If you want to write a story where a Clan and their MC overcomes harsh obstacles, good for you! The MC dying is pretty hard to pull, whether for the impact of their death or when to do it. However, the Clan definitely should lose some battles or be on the wrong side. They are not infallible.
