* Yeah. In some situations, it can be a cheap external force to move the plot when there's absolutely no interesting character drive to move it manually. This is the wild outside though, show how dangerous it is. Better yet, have natural disasters that go against their Clans. Flashfloods and heavy rain for RiverClan. Thunderstorms and forest fires for ThunderClan. High winds and tornados for WindClan. Sinkholes and carrion diseases for ShadowClan. An entire novella can revolve around a massive disaster and a Clan's desperate efforts to recover from it.
