* Yeah. However, even if miscarriage is very much common and realistic, it sometimes feel like a cheap way to kill off a character, especially how it's mainly for she-cats. It's tragic, yes, but it doesn't offer much. Not to get deep into fictional cats, but it just feels like residual "mothers must always die for her husband and children" and it just rubs me the wrong way. Dying from miscarriage is also 99% for adding angst to their mate or kits, and nothing about the queen themselves.
