* Please give them actual motivations and reasons for what they do. Beliefs that the MC can actually challenge. I'm sorry Mapleshade apologists, but she did kill people for reasons they weren't responsible for, but she's an unreliable narrator, she's supposed to be wrong about things. She has reasons, however incorrect, for murder. Her villainy comes from her delusions, not just from the fact she kills. Think of killing as a "symptom" of why they're a villain. Lack of compassion, for example, and expand upon that, not the fact they kill.
