* I don't think this is a problem. The MC becoming sick means chapters spent recovering, which means nothing to do or see. This could be interesting in other ways though. Being bedridden while your loved ones are risking their lives everyday can lead to an interesting character study, i.e. how they feel, are they desperate to help or relieved they can rest? The MC being sick can also establish a closer connection with the medicine cat, or other sick characters that might have been background characters otherwise. Better yet, the MC is a medicine cat who is sick, and must trust their Clanmates to take care of everyone.
