When Abigail awoke, she was startled to find a pair of golden brown eyes centimetres from her green ones. A light brown strand of hair tickled her face, which Abigail hadn't expected, so she kicked her feet. Instead, she realised her feet and legs couldn't move smoothly like they generally could. Abigail looked down to her feet and found her body covered by white sheets. When she looked up, Abigail saw a turquoise pair join the golden brown eyes. She looked to her right and saw another sickbed, lying about two metres away. A girl with glossy black hair, which had her hair out, lay on the bed. Contrasting against her pale skin, Abigail saw a crimson cut across one of her cheeks.

"Magda!" Abigail tried to say but Sara and Lokeyia merely raised their eyebrows.

"Are you alright?" Lokeyia asked.

"Yes." Abigail croaked.

"I take it you know what happened before you were knocked out?"

Abigail nodded.

"After you blacked out, Head Hunter yelled for help. Magda and another girl came to your rescue, and were hauling you to the sidelines before a Meropian woman found them. The other girl ran, whereas Magda stayed and fought, trying to protect you. She got engaged in a fight with her, that's how she got that slash on her cheek, until the woman hit her over the head with something heavy. Magda crumpled to the ground. Head Healer found you two and, taking one of you on each of her shoulders, she got you to the sidelines. Then, you ended up here."

Abigail felt bad, as though she owed Magda something. She hated it. She felt sick. But instead she sat up and peered at Magda's sickbed. Sara adjusted her pillow so that it supported Abigail's back. When she tried to step off her bed, she found Lokeyia stopping her.

"She's fine."

"I want to see her. I want to talk to her." Abigail said stubbornly.

"You can't. She's asleep." Lokeyia said gently.

"No! I NEED to see her." Abigail shouted.

"I'm sorry Abigail, you can't, she's fine, don't worry!" Sara said gently.

"NO!! LET ME SEE HER!! SHE RISKED HER LIFE FOR ME!!!" screamed Abigail.

There were running footsteps. The room door banged open and a woman with dark brown hair, greyish blue eyes and a round face ran in.

"Excuse me, Miss Clifton and Miss Brown, can you please leave? You are making a patient"

"Why? No! We're looking after Abigail." Sara said.

"May you please leave." the Healer said patiently, however this time it wasn't a question.

Sara and Lokeyia had no choice but to leave, Lokeyia looked sheepish whereas Sara looked sympathetic.
