The feast afterwards was made of roasted palentonae, dry greens and roasted rabbit. Sara cooked it all and she finished her meal early, and plunged into the creek. Abigail was the last to finish and joined Sara for less than a minute, Abigail hated cold water. It also wasn't the cleanest. But still, Lokeyia's hair was shining and clean and looked almost as good as she did back in Cirices. Abigail washed her hair aswell and it came out looking dark brown but when it dried, it became a satiny red-brown and hung in gentle waves.

"Right! Attention, everyone! Where shall we be going next. We need to move as far away from Merope, Cirices, Ricaus and Tarabia as possible." Lokeyia clapped her hands.

"Duh, Asteria. Only possibility." Abigail said, her mouth full of food.

"Merope. I think we should sneak into Merope." Magda said.

The disapproval in the camp hit Magda like a tonne of bricks.

"NO!" Lokeyia roared, jumping to her feet.

"What the..." Sara hissed.

Abigail choked on her palentonae root. Sara banged her on the back and Abigail swallowed, wiping her mouth.

"That won't happen, I'm sorry." she spluttered.

"It is a very sensible idea. We sneak into Merope and find out about family and friends. Don't you want to find out about your families and family friends?" Magda said.

"Hahaha! Sensible! Ha!" Lokeyia laughed.

"Fine, Lokey if you don't want to go, Sara, Abigail and I shall go." Magda snapped.

"Sorry, Magda I also don't want to go." Sara said gently. Magda's nostrils flared and she looked at Abigail beseechingly.

"Nope, sorry." Abigail said, avoiding Magda's eyes.

"Fine, then. Let's drop it. Forget about it." Magda said, packing away her stuff, climbing a tree, pulling out her sleeping bag and resting in for bed.

However, Sara thought that she was doing the opposite thing of what she just said she would do. Sara, who was on first guard noticed that she was rustling a lot in her sleeping bag and sometimes would hear a stifled moan or whispering. When she woke Abigail, Sara told Abigail her suspicions. Abigail nodded and tightened her bow string.

"Keep an eye on her, will you?" Sara whispered.

"Yes. I'll tell Lokeyia when she wakes." Abigail whispered back. They walked over to Sara's sleeping bag and Abigail pulled back the top and tucked Sara in, just for something to do.

Abigail thought that Magda finally fell asleep halfway through Abigail's shift. Abigail constantly scanned the forest, creek and even went towards the river. All seemed quiet and empty. When Abigail woke Lokeyia, she told her Sara's and Abigail's worries.

"Well," said Lokeyia, "she knows we aren't going to Merope anyway. It's absolutely crazy. I hope Magda will see the truth sometime soon."

Lokeyia tucked Abigail in, in the same manner as Abigail had done to Sara. Abigail loosened her bow string and pulled her quiver off her back.

"Goodnight, Gail." Lokeyia whispered.

"Night, Lokey. Wake me if anything bad happens." Abigail whispered back.

She was so tired that she would sit in a bin and fall asleep. She let the sound of the forest and the dark sky disappear, replaced by a dreamless sleep.
