A Tarabian attacked her which Abigail recognised as Imelda. A sickening feeling went through her stomach and Abigail felt it do a somersault. Imelda must have heard and notified the Tarabian guards. Of course, there was no way she could have heard they were escaping today, or there'd be twice as many guards on duty. Abigail sent an arrow into a Tarabian approaching Noctus. Imelda, with amazing strength for such an old person, swung Annah around and threw her into the dirt, binding her hands together. Magda raised a knife and threw it at Imelda. Imelda dodged it but hit her head hard against the wall. She crumpled to the ground and Annah threw her unconscious body away from her. Magda leapt off Mervis, ran, wielded her dagger and cut through the tough fibres.

Abigail had a hard job. She had to protect all three horses. She watched Magda stab a Tarabian with her dagger and run back to Mervis. Just as she was running, Abigail saw horror on her face as a Tarabian melted out of the bush and sliced a cut un Mervis, before Abigail sent an arrow through him. Abigail saw tears well up in Magda's eyes.

"Magda!! Guard!" Abigail yelled and jumped off Noctus, hoping with all her heart he'll be safe. She saw Sara, wounded but otherwise alright, in the bush where Mervis's attacker emerged. Abigail slipped a hand into the bush. She felt warm fingers wrap around her hand and yanked hard, finally pulling Sara out. Abigail sat Sara on Noctus and ran towards the fight, loading an arrow as she went. She saw someone run towards her and kicked out as hard as she could. Abigail wrestled Lokeyia's attacker and ushered Lokeyia onto Jade. Annah sprinted towards the horses, Sara, Magda and Lokeyia but a man, sprawled across the ground, caught her around the knees, sending Annah crashing to the ground. Abigail heard a scream and ran towards the horses, and jumped onto Noctus. Magda had already mounted Mervis. Abigail turned and saw at least forty people streaming from behind the walls. She kicked Mervis into a canter and turned around just long enough to see a woman, splattered in blood and a sword pressed into her.

And that was the last they ever saw of brave Annah.
