I knock at the door to Sam's room and enter as soon as he tells me to get in. He turns around in his chair and smiles at me. I smile too as I take a seat in his armchair next to his bed.
"So what's the matter?" I ask and pull my right knee to my chest and put my arms around it.
"It's because of Colby and you." Sam stands up and sits back down close to me on his bed. I bite my lower lip.
"O-okay, what about us?" Sam smiles.
"Don't worry, it's nothing bad." he ensures me. I smile back a little more relieved, but still nervous. "I know that you two are really close. I know that you like him and that he likes you. I see it, everyone sees it in your looks towards the other." I blush. Is it really that obvious? "And heck, everyone saw all those little gestures Colby did towards you in New Zealand. Don't think that I'm gonna tell you to back off, to keep away from Colby, not at all. You remember the day I called you and asked you if you wanna stay with us?" I smile and nod.
"Of course I remember it. You saved my ass." Sam chuckles and smiles at me.
"I called you, because Colby just couldn't shut up about you. Since we walked away from you at the café, he talked about you and that you have no place to stay and whatsoever. It was obvious that he was crazy about you, that he had a crush on you after seeing you only twice." I blush again. He had a crush on me back then? I just thought they were being nice. "Anyways. I totally support you two. Kat and I ship you since day one and I'm pretty sure Corey ships you too after New Zealand." I blush even more, but I resist my urge to hide my face.
"So you just wanted to tell me that?" I ask a little confused about why I'm here.
"That too, but mainly because I want to warn you." I frown and tilt my head a little.
"Warn me? For what?"
"His fans. I don't know why, but his fans, especially the girls, are nuts about him. They hate on every girl he is close to, because they somehow think they could be on his side or whatever. I don't know. But if you two date and you make it public you'll get a lot of hate. You have to be hundred percent sure with that, because it can be really depressing." Now I look down at the floor. I bite the inner side of my cheek as I nod slightly.
"I-I know. I already get hate of some girls, but I always try to ignore it. They don't know me and they can't judge me by my appearance in videos." I look up at Sam, who is smiling at me.
"And we are here too. If something is bothering you, hate or what else, you can talk to us. All of us. You're part of our family now and you can't escape." he says serious. I smile and nod.
"Thanks Sam. That means a lot." I stand up and hug him tight.
"No problem. But if you two don't get together quick, I'm gonna put you in a room and lock it until you are finally a thing, okay?" Sam claims as I pull away. I nod smiling before I go back down, again thanking the blonde boy as I close his door.
It's afternoon as I walk out of the café I sang at the first day I was in LA. That café that offered me a job. They called shortly after the talk with Sam and because Corey had to go somewhere anyways, he drove me here. The café isn't that far away from the mansion, so I could easely walk there, but to my luck a guy who works there too lives close to me and he could get me every day.
At first he just wanted me to sing once a week, but as I entered the café, I saw that they look for a waiter and I asked if I could do it. I told him that I did a waiter job in Germany and I offered to get a recommendation from that restaurant, but he said no and he would hire me immediately. So we talked and I met Dylan, the guy who will take me to work from now on. I'm going to work part time monday to friday and saturday I'm gonna sing. 6am until 11am. Saturdays I'm gonna sing an hour from 8pm to 9pm.
As I step out of the café and into the sun, I think about what to do. Should I call someone to get me? I could walk. That's probably the best. I don't wanna bother anyone.
"Hey Elli. Should I drive you home?" I turn around to see Dylan standing there.
"That's nice, but you don't have to do it, Dylan." I say friendly.
"No, I wanna do it and I can see the house you live in." I sigh.
"Fine."
Ten minutes later Dylan stops in front of the mansion.
"Wow. That's nice." Dylan claims.
"I know. It's unbelievable that I live here." Dylan turns to me with a serious look.
"And you really live here? You're not breaking in or something?" I laugh and punch him playfully.
"Yes! I do live here." I say and chuckle as someone knocks at the window. I jump and Dylan rolls down the window. Corey is standing there, scanning Dylan and me.
"Hey, could you drive away from the driveway? I have to leave." Corey asks Dylan.
"Sure." Corey nods and walks back to his car. "That cuty's your roommate? Is he single?" Dylan asks and I look at him.
"Erm yea, and no he isn't. You're gay?" I ask frowning.
"Yes, that's a problem?" I smile bright and shake my head.
"Not at all. It's just a little surprising, but anyways, I'll see you tomorrow?" He smiles and nods, then I get out of the car and wave him goodbye. The fact that he's gay could be useful...
"Who was that?" Corey drives out of the driveway and rolled down his window.
"Colleague." He raises an eyebrow sceptical.
"I hope he doesn't try anything. Elby for life!" With that he drives off. Elby? Is that Colby and mine shipname? I kinda like it.
Anyways... I have to practice a song on the piano. And I'm hungry so I'm gonna make me some food first. I think Sam and Colby are home and Aaron should come back soon. We all wanna go out for dinner today. The whole house, Kat and Brennen want to come too. Brennen is maybe bringing some friends, but last time I checked he wasn't sure.
