Katherine's POV:

I was Queen of the werewolves...now what? Should I wait to be the queen of the vampires as well or make them move out...Or could it be too risky?

I was sitting in the throne chair inside the tent. Thinking and thinking. My head started to hurt so I decided to take a look around. I took off the ceremonial attire and put on a traditional royal attire, which made me feel a tiny bit of sadness in the pit of my stomach.

I wonder what would have been my life if father was still alive? I wonder where was he buried? I must ask mother.

I followed her scent to a nearby underground lagoon. It was beautiful, its water a bluish green color that sparkle as if it was magical. "They say if you swim in these waters you will see the future...I wonder if it's true, why don't you find out?" My mother said as she looked over her shoulders giving me a smile.

I took off my warrior attire and plunge in the lagoon, it's water warm and transparent, as I descended more I noticed it was very deep, and sure enough, the water started to transform into images that surrounded me. A one by one, it became one picture.

I left some of the air in my lungs  come out in an attempt to scream No! Quickly made my way to the surface. It can't be! That wasn't real, Must be my mind playing games with me.

I looked for my mother, my heart pounding in my chest. I came to her and gave her a hug. "Did it work?" She asked. "No." I simply said as I dressed again.

My mother sigh. I couldn't tell her what I had seen. I won't dare believe in it.

I sat beside my mother and she softly put my head on her lap, stroking my hair. "What is in your mind, Katherina?" "Well...I'm queen now of the werewolves, now what do I do? I want them out of here, in the surface world. But, I'm afraid of the discrimination and rejection they might get from the vampires and any threat that we wouldn't be able to handle from the humans."

"Werewolves and vampires have been enemies since the beginning of time. Yet, there was a time where we all lived peacefully. Will you receive a tip from this old woman?" She said with a smile.

"Mother, you look way younger than me. But yes. " I laughed at the end.

"I recommend for you to become queen of the vampires before making the werewolves enter the surface world once again. There would be many disagreements and once you do that, it is possible for the human fraction of the world to start attacking. Therefore, wait for some time, until necessary, a month or two to take the werewolves out. But first of all, it is necessary for your coronation as queen of the vampires, it must be done quickly. We don't know if David told everything about to the humans, but we will have to be on point on everything. Alright?" She spoke with so much confidence that it made me want to do it instantly.

But there was a question in my heart. " Why do you want me to be crowned queen so fast mother? Is there something you want to share with me?" I stood up and sat in front of her.

"Honey, I just want everything to be under your control. I want everything to be prepared." Could it be? The reality of the vision?

"For what?" I asked. "For the liberty of slave nation. That's all. Now come on. We have to get back to the capital. You young lady have a second coronation to assist to."

Oh, my goodness. Another one.

We stood up and made our way to the tent. "Mom, before I forget... Where is father's body?" I felt her body go tense. "Well...I wish I could know. I would visit him every day. David...he burnt your father, he left nothing of him." She said, her voice weak.

I hugged my mom. "It's okay mom. We're going to make everything fine. I promise you. His death won't be in vain."

****

We arrived at the capital city and headed to the castle, where everyone was moving like little ants, taking food from one side to another, chandeliers, decorations here and there. I had just stepped on the front door when two maids told me it was necessary for to my to try on the gown, a white queen gown that made heart jump thinking that I would also marry Sepherus. My goodness.

"Wait... Am I getting married and having the coronation at the same time? I asked one of the maids. She nodded. "yes mi-lady. The coronation is after the wedding. Mr.Sepherus will be waiting for you at the altar tomorrow."

My heart jumped. I was overwhelmed with everything. Something wasn't right The rush, the need for me to get married. I couldn't understand the reasons behind this fast coronation process.

After what seemed like hours I was finally left free. I made my way to my room, went to the bathroom, fill up the tub, scatter some rose petals for essence and stripped myself of my clothes.

The water was warm and welcoming to my skin. I slipped a little bit downwards, letting my hair wet itself with the scented water. I didn't want to think about anything. I just wanted to relax.

I heard the door open and close, some clothes being thrown on the floor and the tub curtain pushed aside. There stood Sepherus smiling down at me. "For a second I thought it was only water. Come, make some space for me."

I slide to the left and he entered the tub, but instead of sitting next to me, he made me move downwards, so now I was sitting close to his stomach. "I scene you are worried Katherina." he said as he started rubbing my body with soap.

"I am. Too many things happening around us. And tomorrow...we getting married. I mean, I'm really happy but at the same time, it's strange for my mother to want us to marry so quickly."

Sepherus started rubbing some shampoo on my hair. "Maybe she's too tired and wants to retire. I feel the same impatience you feel about her. And I understand this it's very overwhelming, becoming queen of the werewolves, the vampire queen and...my wife. But, look at the bright side..." he said as he started to whisper in my ear.

"What is it?" I turned to look at him. "We can finally have children...No more limitations...I really want a mini me soon...even if half the world says no." He laughed with a raspy voice behind me. "haha, idiot." I don't want children yet...especially in a potential war time.

After we bathed, I decided to go for a run in my werewolf form. It had been a while since I left her free. It felt good.

I ran and ran until I was panting and I decided to go back. When I enter the room, Sepherus was reading a book. "Oh, you're finally back. I was getting worried. " He said as he caresses my cheek. "Sorry babe...I want to tell you something."

He nodded. "While I was in the werewolves' cave, I enter this lagoon that supposedly had magical particles that allowed the swimmer to see some kind of vision of the future...And I didn't like what I saw."

"And what did you see?" I took a breath and told him.

"I saw my mother desiccated...she was dead."
