DISCLAIMER!
I do not own Skyward Sword, nor these characters. I'm just a shameless GhiraLink shipper who wanted to write a fan fiction about them xD Anything non-game related, e.g plot, I did make up though ^^

Also, all credit goes to the amazing artists if I uses fan art for a chapter picture x

SPOILER WARNING!
-There will probably be some mentions of things that may spoil the game's plot, so beware!-

GENERAL CONTENT WARNINGS!
Non-con (aka rape), mxm, humiliation, possibly some violence, maybe eventual romance idk we'll see, Stockholm syndrome

If you're uncomfortable with any of these things, this book is not for you! Please preserve your innocence! 🙏🏻

Info
I started this because I just finished playing Skyward Sword, and because I wasn't sure how to proceed with 'The Lone Survivor'. I promise I'll still update that though too :) But as for this, I shall try my best to update once a week, (maybe twice this week to get the story moving a bit) can't promise more than that because of A-levels but you may occasionally see a double update 😄 I only plan for this to be a relatively short fanfic though, and I've never written a fanfic before so this should be interesting xD

Also sorry about the cover, the covers app was not playing nice and wouldn't let me change the font or colour o_O

Anyway, on with the story!

Link's POV
It's been seven whole months since I beat Demise.

When I came back to Skyloft, life went on as normal, almost as if nothing had happened. A few people did ask how I was doing, but other than that it was back to my normal routine.

I had to relinquish the Master Sword as instructed by Fi, as I when I defeated Demise I ceased to be her Master.

Oh, and I took a vow of silence before the goddess. I've never been the talkative type, so it wasn't really an issue. A vow a silence is taken by a knight who wishes to eternally pledge his or her service to the goddess. It's an ancient tradition, so everyone was surprised with my decision.

I also became a true knight in Skyloft, but I no longer had a purpose. Life became dull.

I missed the exhilarating thrill of an adventure, and I longed more than anything to visit the surface, but the portals had long since closed up. So I spent my days doing mundane tasks, delivering bottles of pumpkin soup and cleaning people's houses to earn rupees to buy food.

The only time I truly enjoyed myself was when I rode my beautiful loftwing. The joy of flying never ceased to amaze me, and never failed to lighten my spirits.

I was startled out of my thoughts when said loftwing landed beside me, where I lay at the foot of the goddess statue. He squawked at me, as if he urgently wanted to tell me something.

What is it?

And then, Zelda's bird landed beside my own, stumbling forward a couple of steps before collapsing.

What the heck happened? It looks like she's been attacked, and she's got a broken leg...

Instantly, my mind flashed back to when Ghirahim's tornado had thrown Zelda down to the surface below. I shook my head. Ghirahim is gone.

But then again... It had been Groose that picked up his sword, though he'd promised me he'd destroy it...

"Zelda's missing!" Pipit yelled, running up to me. "Have you seen her?"

I shook my head, but his eyes were no longer on me, they were on Zelda's loftwing. "Oh no, she's injured! I shall go and get the doctor, Link you go back to Knight Academy! I sense something bad, and I don't want you to get caught up in everything again if my fears prove to be true"

I nodded, but not to agree to go back to my room. I nodded because I could sense the presence too.

I got to my feet and rushed away, not sure where to go, when I could have sworn I head a voice.

"Graveyard..."

I whipped my head around, but saw no one other than Pipit dashing the opposite way to find the doctor. Weird.

But, like the idiot I am, I did what any sane person would do after hearing a voice whisper for them to go to the graveyard.

Yep, that's right folks. I headed straight for the graveyard. And that's where he stood.

The self-proclaimed Demon Lord: Ghirahim.

I reached back to draw my sword, but my hand grasped thin air. Oh crap, I don't even own a sword anymore.

Ghirahim chuckled, seemingly finding my defencelessness amusing. "It's been a while, Skychild. Too long for my liking, but I'm positively giggly that we're face to face again at long last. It hurts my heart that your first reaction to my gorgeous face was to draw your sword though"

I glared at him, assuming a defensive stance.

"Oh, you needn't worry little Skychild, I cannot reach you from here. In fact..." he snapped his fingers and disappeared, turning into diamonds. I spun around, expecting him to be behind me like last time. And that was when I felt breath on the back of my neck.

Slowly I turned, and found our faces inches apart, making me jump back.

"This is as far as I'm able to stray from my sword... for now. But it won't be long before I'm able to reach you, Skychild. The bonds forcing me close to my sword are weakening, little by little, day by day. And what I desire is no longer the spirit maiden, nor your demise. No... I desire something must more exotic, much more...delectable. Your obedience to me"

I spun on my heel and ran, Ghirahim's laughter echoing in my ears.

Questions raced through my mind.

How did he get here?
What does he want with me?
Is he really not here to kill me?
Why me?
What am I going to do?
