Link's POV
I didn't move from my spot by the door until light began to shine through my blinds and Pipit came round to wake us up.

When he knocked on my door, I tensed in fear thinking it was Ghirahim coming to take me away for good. I stayed awake all night just in case he came back. I was prepared to fight for my life.

"Hey, Link? You alright in there?"

I unlocked the door and peeked out, meeting Pipit's worried gaze. His eyes widened when he saw me. I must look like a complete mess.

"Link? What's going on?"

Exhausted and scared, I started to cry again. I slammed the door in his face and leapt onto my bed. I don't want him to see me like this.

"Link! Hey! What's the matter? You know you can talk to me. Well, at least write to me"

I ignored him, stifling my sobs with my pillow. I've never felt so utterly powerless, so completely at the mercy of another. It makes me feel so out of control, vulnerable, scared. And I don't know what to do. Nobody can help me, and nobody will understand.

"Please, Link? I'll stand here all day if I have too, and that's no exaggeration!"

I sighed, releasing my pillow from the death grip I had on it and grabbed my notepad. I knew how stubborn Pipit could be, but he was only looking out for me. And I'm truly grateful for that, despite the circumstances.

Ghirahim back. Will take me away. Don't know when. He took Master Sword. Defenceless now.

I shoved the note under the door angrily, tears beginning to pool in my eyes again. Why is he doing this? Why me? Why couldn't it have been someone else, anyone else!

Suddenly I felt really selfish. This isn't something I should wish on anybody! What's wrong with me? On my adventure, I was fighting for the sake of everybody else. Why can't I save myself now?

"Oh Link, I'm so sorry... But everything will be fine! You can stay in my room tonight, I'll take the floor! He can't take you when I'm around, right? Hey, he's an idea, why don't all us knights stay in the sparring hall? Yeah, then you'll be safe! So, how about it?"

Thank you, Pipit. But he'll get me wherever I go, whether I'm alone or in a big group. Nothing can stop him, nothing but the Master Sword. I may as well use my time wisely and say a proper goodbye to everyone. Goodbye, Pipit.

I slid my notepad and pen into one of my adventure pouches, along with my beetle and a small dagger that I used to open letters. It made me feel a little better, having it on me.

Biting my lip, I slid this note under the door before walking to the window and opening the wooden cover that allowed my loftwing to bring me post. Quietly, I climbed out and landed on the ground below.

Taking a deep breath, I dashed towards the edge of the island and dived off, calling for my loftwing.

I refuse to let him win that easily. I'll travel to the end of the skies to avoid his grasp if I have to. But for now, I need to fly as far and as fast as possible.
