Cut Man really wanted to act more valiantly and all that jazz. The problem was that Metal Man was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING.

The red robot was incredibly fast, strong and ferocious. He said almost nothing, but he attacked with a feral intensity, as if nothing was crossing his mind apart from his desire to put a few Metal Blades in Cut Man's throat.

Cut Man was more focused on frantically slipping around the deadly projectiles being sent his way.

A blade bounced off the wall and swooped near his feet, causing him to stumble in his frantic jump over. He landed on one foot, which unfortunately carried him into the wall in front. Cut Man collapsed against the metal surface, whimpering under his breath.

Metal Man scooped up the blade and held it in his hand. He shifted it in his grip, almost as if he were weighing its aerodynamics. Then, with a sinister glare, he spun around and hurled the weapon at his fallen opponent.

A small plasma shot struck the blade out of the air, smacking it to the ground and causing it to slide along the ground harmlessly up to Cut Man.

Mega Man and Elec Man fell from the ceiling, landing in battle ready stances.

"I thought you were trying to hit Metal." Elec Man asked very quietly.

"I kinda was, but I just came online like three minutes ago. Cut me some slack." Mega Man immediately winced.

"Nice play on words, buddy." Cut Man patted Mega Man on the shoulder.

"Wasn't intentional." He replied.

Metal Man frowned, staring at the three in silence. After a tense moment, the robot whipped out each of his blades and hurled them towards his opponents.

MEGA MAN POV

We sidestepped the attacks, and as Metal approached us, I picked up a stray metal blade.

"Dang it."

"What?" Elec Man asked.

"I can't use this to get his copy ability."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean whatever happened back there that got me out of Wily's control fried my copy chip. I lost all of their powers."

"Bummer." Cut Man replied.

I shrugged, handing the blade to Cut Man. "Just give him a taste of it."

Cut Man stared at it in confusion for a brief second, then nodded. He spun around to face the robot and hurled the blade straight at him. It struck Metal Man in the chest and sailed clean through. He deactivated almost instantly.

Cut Man gawked. "You're telling me...that all I needed to do was hit him with his own thing?"

"Yep. Funny that way, isn't it?" I asked.

He looked at me with a smirk. "Aw, cut it out."

Elec Man and I collectively groaned. Cut Man did a silent cheer. "Still got it!"

The wave of explosions was getting to be too much.

Bomb Man had been designed to work with explosives, but that didn't mean he could easily handle being around them all the time. The heat in particular was his problem, since it created small chain reactions in his system which escalated when he took a hit.

As he stumbled around the battlefield desperately trying to avoid any of Crash Man's attacks, he considered how inferior his design was. He threw spherical bombs that had fuses. He was somewhat chubby, and his thick body parts didn't exactly ease movement.
