Dan and Phil woke up to loud knocks on their door, dan groaning as soon as his eyes open, sun beaming through the windows. Phil sits up with him
"what was that?" Phil mumbles, following dan out into the main living room and walking over too the door, he looks through the peep hole. he doesn't recognise the person.
"who is it?" dan asks the person through the door
"is this Daniel Howells room?" they asks, dan opens the door
"yes? who are you?" dan asks, they roll their eyes.
"like you wouldn't know. I'm James Celine"
"oh! nice to meet you. so you're auditioning for Evan too?" dan asks. they laugh pitifully
"I've technically already got it. I'm the best actor in West End and I doubt they've even heard from you. I dot even know what you were in" he says smugly. dans self esteem drops by 1,000
"Sorry I don't even know who you are so you're one to talk" Phil speaks up
"who the fuck is this? I thought only partner-- ahhh. you're gay" he figures it out
"anyway I was Fiyero in the UK Wicked. what were, you in Mr. Howell?" he asks, waiting for an answer
"The Addams Family Musical.."
"pfft garbage. oh well I guess we are working together anyway. good luck being my understudy or whatever" James walks off leaving dan stunned
"what a smug little BITCH!" Phil yells as soon as the door shuts
"don't yell please" dan sighs
"you're so much better than him, you know why? you're Passionate. you want to do this he's only doing this because he wants fame I can tell by the way he's so proud of himself. the little diva" Phil says, he gives dan a kiss on his cheek. dan smiles softly
"thank you"
"And on your birthday I can't believe him" Phil mumbles.
"wait what?" dan asks
"Its your birthday today! You're 20!"
"oh my god I am! I totally forgot!" dan laughs. Phil kisses his cheek
"I do have a present for you, you know" Phil smirks,
"is that so?" dan giggles, kissing Phil passionately and more lovingly.
they didn't leave their room until they had to leave for the show at 8:30. they dressed in some nice suits and shoes before leaving together and heading down to the lobby where Oscar was standing with another man and a woman
"Mr Howell and Mr Lester! your cars are just arriving. but first I guess you should get introduced to Mr. Pearl and his partner" he says, walking a little away and looking out for James.
"so you're dan! its great to meet you" Seth introduces. Dan shakes his hand.
"Nice to meet you too! uh, this is my Partner Phil" Dan introduces. he says hello to them both
"nice to meet you Phil, this is my girlfriend Margret!" he introduces too. everyone is dressed nice and fancy.
"Hav you.. met James yet?" dan asks.
"no not yet. is he nice?" Seth asks, as soon as he does James is walking out by himself in a very shiny suit.
"When are we leaving" James asks, looking inpatient already
"Mr Celine! you are all here so the cars are ready to go"
"alright lets go" he says pushing past them and heading outside to the same cars they came to the hotel in.
"he isn't the brightest.." dan says under his breath. Seth giggles they walk outside
"I can tell. alright we will se you there then!" Seth says as they get in the car. dan waves as they get in theirs and they drive off.
"I can't believe they chose him as one of the choices"
"who? Seth?"
"no! no of course not, James I mean James. he's spoiled." Phil groans.
they arrive at the music box theatre and theres paparazzi there. dans heart starts racing. they pull out the front and someone opens the door for them. they step out and theres flashes of lights as they walk into the theatre.
"Worst car ride ever" James complains. dan or Phil don't reply. finally Seth and Margret arrive and stand with them.
"Welcome West End Actors! follow me please" a security member says. they all follow him up into the front row of the second level. they're dead centre.
"I'm so excited!" dan whispers to phil, holding his hand as the show starts.
By the end dan is crying, he absolutely loved it. Phil shed a few tears too but not as much as dan. It looks like James isn't impressed and didn't like it, and Seth and Margret liked it too. once the cast bows everyone is cheering. and finally they all leave the stage.
"that was so good" dan says sniffling.
"no way how much did you cry dan?" Seth asks
"a lot" dan laughs a little
"you shouldn't have they're performance was terrible."
"what are you talking about that was great!" Seth says
"if you couldn't point out all the mistakes in that show then what type of actor are you?" James says.
they all head back to the hotel in the cars. dan and Phil yawning, almost falling asleep in the car but they arrive, say goodbye to Seth and Margret and crash on the bed. they're smiling because they got to see their favourite show together.
"happy birthday dan" Phil whispers, kissing dan one more time before they both pass out. dan goes to bed happy that night.
