Dan headed into the BBC radio 1 station with Seth and Justin, they were all having an interview together and performing Sincerely Me in the live lounge. there were probably 100 people waiting outside for them but they couldn't stop, as their security guards wouldn't let them. they all signed in and were brought to the room, it was set up with 3 microphones at a desk with swivel chairs and a pair of headphones each.
"hey guys! welcome to the BBC! take a seat and we can start the interview!" the presenter says, they all sit down and put the headphones on, the end of Havana is playing.
"3.2.1. and that was Havana by Camelia Cabello, and now if you're watching us live on the website, BBC.co.uk/Radio1, you might have noticed some well known faces in our studio! today we have in the cast of The uk's Dear Evan Hansen! Welcome Dan, Justin and Seth!"
"hello!" they all reply back,
"now, boys. may I be frank, I've seen your show, I absolutely loved it and may have even shed a few tears! but how do you do it? how do you get into the mindset of your characters?" he asks,
"pretty tough" Justin says and they all laugh.
"I think all of us find it eventually and then we learn to be them and live as them on stage, but we usually find the most hard part to do is the amount of emotion that pours into these characters and how they react" dan explains
"what he said" Seth jokes and they laugh again
"and Dan! we've only seen your face once in a musical, the Addams family Musical as a background character!"
"yeah! I was a ancestor that was crushed by a cherry blossom tree" they laugh
"how different is it to go from that to being the face of a 5 star show?"
"honestly it's insane, I think it's such an amazing opportunity and I'm so grateful to be given it"
"and you and Seth actually went and met the U.S Cast to do final auditions!"
"I kind of just backed out of it because honestly Dan deserved the part. but we did!"
"so are you guys all buddies now?"
"of course!" dan smiles.
"I haven't met them yet so I'm just here in the corner missing out" Jusin says and they laugh.
"alright and just before we let you guys go we've got a few callers here, Tom Ridgewell from London hello!" as soon as dan hears that name he recognises it
"Hello!" tom speaks, dan starts laughing. its definitely the same tom
"whats so funny dan?"
"I went to school with this tom" dan giggles
"He remembers me! all right!" tom laughs
"there is a school reunion happening right now! tom whats your question for your old school mate?"
"I just wanted to say congrats guys! you're doing such a great job and I'm really proud of you dan for getting yourself out there!" tom says,
"you know what, can you keep him on hold I want to talk to him after this" dan says
"sure! we'll keep you here on the line tom. but up next we have Emily from workingham!"
"oh my god hi!" she squeals
"what is your burning question?"
"are any of you guys single?" they all laugh
"unfortunately not, I think we've all got partners" Justin giggles
"and last but not least, we have Greta from Brighton!"
"hi! my question is to Justin, how long did you have to grow your hair out for the role of Connor?"
"before I even auditioned, so about 7 months now"
"ew gross" seth says and they laugh
"in a couple of minutes the boys will be performing Sincerely Me from the show, in our very own live room! here at BBC radio 1!" they go off air.
"dan mate come around here" the presenter says, dan walks around the desk and over to him, he hands dan a office phone and he presses the hold button.
"hello?" dan asks
"mate how have you been?!" tom says excitedly,
"I'm great! how are you doing?" dan smiles
"yeah I'm doing really well! I'm going to see you live tomorrow night~ I'm so excited to see you perform!"
"wait really?! I need to see you then! come to stage door after it and we can have a talk! but I have to go, ill see you then?"
"yeah of course! cya man!" tom hangs up and dan does too, walk back to the boys
"how cool was that?!" Justin asks, dan laugh
"yeah he's coming to see us tomorrow so thats gonna be great" dan smiles.
once the day was over dan stumbled into the apartment with heaps of shopping bags.
"I cannot believe that Tom called in. I remember him as well!" phil laughs, walking into the hallway,
"yeah, that was pretty funny" dan giggles
"hey whats all this?" phil asks, looking at the bags, from TopMan and a few other places
"they're gifts"
"for who?"
"you, dork" dan laughs, bringing them into the bedroom, phil follows excitedly.
"I know you've been eyeing this for a while, and not going to lie, I think you'd look really hot in it so.." dan pulls out a light blue blazer and matching pants, phil gasps
"dan this was so expe-"
"personally I got give a shit how much it cost, you looks fucking hot in It so you're gonna own it" dan giggles, kissing phils cheek,
"I also got you some new shoes" dan says, pulling them out and handing Phil the box. phil opens it and is met with some black suede shoes.
"jesus christ dan you need to stop buying me stuff, and let me buy you stuff for once" phil laughs, kissing dan properly this time.
"mhmm, but I also bought myself some stuff that I think you'll like" dan smirks
"oh really is that so?.." phil asks. dan pulls out some cute clothes. ones with Shiba Inus on it and all pastel again, besides some black and white button ups
"very pretty" phil giggles, pressing more kisses on dans cheeks and making dan giggle too.
