Dearest (F/N),

How are you doing? I hope you are doing just fine. By the way, I hired Joseph’s son for the harvest. I can’t do it alone, (F/N). Winter is coming, and I’ve got four more months to cultivate my crops. I hope you could help us. I hope I’m not being selfish, because I know that you are well there in the Scouting Legion.  But, you know, a small visit every once in a while wouldn’t hurt. Even writing letters to your dear old man wouldn’t.

I’m sorry for being a prickly old man. Your father doesn’t feel to good without his daughter around for a long time. I hope you understand me.

Anyway, this coming Harvest Festival, I will make the grandest of all grand pumpkin cakes these Walls will ever see. And your father is very excited for it. Do invite your friends, and don’t forget Captain Levi, okay dear? Did you receive the tomatoes I sent you? It’s for you and your friends, but leave the other bag for Captain Levi alone, okay?

I’m always thinking and praying for you.

I love you.

Your dad.
