Getting home was quick. We left the boat tied to a rock at the beach and sped back to the pack house.

The whole way Liam and Kyle fretted over their Man Fish mate. He was still unconscious and did not seem like he would be waking up anytime soon.

"How's he doing?"

Asked Vincent as Kyle wiped his gills and scales with a towel soaked in sea water.

"I don't know, I wasn't really educated on sea creature anatomy..."

Said Kyle, nippy. Liam just glared at him and smacked his arm.

"Be nice. This isn't their fault."

He sighed and nodded while apologizing. Vincent just nodded and told him he understood.

"Don't worry guys. I brought my book from home on sea creatures. I will be able to look with your pack doctor. I've always wanted to be a healer anyways- I've been working on my powers."

I said smiling, hoping my confidence would ease their nerves. They both nodded and wasted no time lifting him out of the car as soon as we were parked in front of the house.

"Mm, put him in the medical tub, not a bed."

I said making them waste no time to scurry there.

"You're going to make an amazing Luna and doctor."

Said my mate who leaned down and gave me a kiss on the lips. I melted into his chest and moaned. He returned with a growl and nipped my lips, brutally shoving his tongue in.

His hands slowly reached down my back untitled they clasped onto my firm ass.

"Hey!"

Yelled a voice that held some type of authority to it. I jumped back and let the deep blush set all over my face. My mate grumbled at being interrupted. I turned to see his mother with his hands on his hips and a frown.

" I know both of you are some horny teenagers, but as future Luna and alpha your pack comes first. Now go help your beta- who has been by your side for years and is your best friend."

I looked down at my shoes in shame. I let my body and needs come first before my pack. Vincent nodded then grabbed my hands and pulled me inside to the pack house.

"I'm sorry, that was my fault and it's close to a full moon. Do not feel bad because I distracted you love. You're still a good future Luna."

He said making me feel a bit better. I hummed and walked upstairs to my bedroom while Vincent left to go comfort Liam and Kyle.

The book I needed held information of all sea species. The healer of my pack gave it to me before I left on my journey. He said I should continue my studies and that this would come in handy one day, which it did, and I was incredibly grateful.

I filed throughout the pages of the book until I came across what I was looking for. Their technical names were Mish. They were a hybrid between a human and fish, much like mermaids. They were said to be created around the same time mermaids came to be. They were creatures that lived in small tribes not only in the ocean, but in human fresh water too! They had the body shape of a man with legs and all, but were covered in scales, had flippers instead of feet, and a long dorsal fin that stretched from their head to lower back. Unlike mermaids they could reproduced like mammals or lay eggs. Mish were cold blooded, so they needed constant warmth, whether that be sun or clothes to cover themselves in. Their anatomy was not so much different than man or mermaids which I was incredibly grateful for.

I jumped up as my door slammed open and Liam ran over to me in tears.

"H-he- he still won't wake up!"

He wailed at he clung onto me. His body shook in as he sobbed and sniffled into my shoulder. I just rubbed his back and shushed him.

"He's going to be fine!"

I said. He looked up at me with big red rimmed eyes and wiped his nose on his hand.

"H-how do you know...?"

I smiled at him and pointed to the book.

"This is a book on all sea creatures. I am reading to see if I can find anything to help him. Now let us go down and see how he is doing! I'm sure by the end of the night he will be fine!"

I said trying to cheer him up. He just sniffled and nodded. We got up and made our way to the first floor of the huge house. I walked in and saw my mate holding an angry Kyle back from attacking the doctor.

"-YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T HELP. WHY WOULD YOU BE A FUCKING DOCTOR IF YOU CAN'T HELP SOMEONE WHO'S SICK."

Liam quickly ran to his mate and pulled him into his little arms. It was like a switch and Kyle calmed down and breathed heavily out of his nose and mouth.

"I-I'm sorry sir. I was trained to work with werewolves, humans, and a couple other LAND creatures. I know nothing of mer or whatever creature he is."

"Mish."

I said stepping closer to the Mish. Everyone turned and looked at me.

"Mish? What do you mean?"

Asked Dr. Heights. I showed him my book and sat down at the table, gesturing him to do so too."

"He's a Mish. That is the name of his species. I brought this and I think this could help us. My healers back in my tribe gave it to me since I was studying to be a healer myself. It is a book of every sea species alive. Facts, strength, weakness and all."

I showed him the Mish section and he looked amazed. I let him read it as I walked over to the medical tub.

The scales all over his body were turning dull and grey. I could see where they were flaking off at certain places leaving pink spots. His lips were grey as well, and overall, he just looked ill.

I looked at the places where the scales were being lost- and I swear it all just clicked like a light bulb being turned on.

"Hey doc, can I see my book for a second?"

I asked making him quickly nod and walk over to me. I skipped all the bullshit about how they were created and what not and got right to where I was looking for.

"Ah ha!"

I said turning to a worried Kyle and Liam.

"What? What's wrong?!"

Said Kyle looking like he wanted to cry.

"I just found out what's wrong! That's what's wrong!"
