"Mr Molina." Mike said
"Miss Swan's" We walked past the fan and Bella sighed
"Can I have your passes." Bella handed him the two slips of paper "Welcome to the class. Her is your stuff. And I got seat for the two of you unfortunately they're separate but one behind the other. Jacqueline is first Isabella right behind."
"Thank you." I pulled out all of my stuff and turned to the person sitting next to me.
"Hi I'm Jackie Swan." there was a grunt in response, so I took my hand away. The boy I deduced who was sitting next to me was staring at me all lesson. There was a sense of unease throughout the entire class. Just before the bell rang he got up before I could even know what was happening.
"What was his problem?" Bell wondered coming up next to me
"I have no idea, do we know who it was?"
"Edward Cullen."
"Again with the staring. He needs to sort that out."
"From where I was looking it was like he was struggling to cope with you sitting next to him. Do you wanna switch places."
"No. If he has a problem he can deal with it. I have other stuff to focus on." We left class at the end of the day and went to hand in our slips. Bells opened the door to the office. Where I heard Edward talking.
"There must be something else. Chemistry, biochem."
"Just a minute dears. There are no other places available you'll have to stay in Biology."
"Fine just... I'll just have to endure it." Edward brushed past me.
"Rude." I huffed. "Bells you hand the slips in I'll be at the car." I turned and left. When Bella came out we went to the diner where Dad was waiting.

"Hey Bella, Jackie. You remember me? I played Santa one year."
"Waylon they haven't had a Christmas here since they were four."
"I bet I made an impression didn't I?"
"You always do."
"But crack Santa." Jill clarified
"Hey kids loved those little bottle, though."
"Yeah, let the girls eat their burgers Waylon...As soon as you're done I will bring you your favourite Berry cobbler, remember. You dad still has it...every Thursday.
"Thank you, that' be great." I reached out for the salt and sprinkled it on my chips.

When we got home I did my homework first then took care of Cleo.
"Shower Cleo." She barked and followed me into the bathroom. Bella and I trained her not only to see and help me but to do other tricks. like close doors, take things to places. she opened the shower curtain for me as I stripped. Then getting in I heard my clothes being put in the basket and the shower curtain being pulled across.
"Thank you girl." I had a shower and got out. drying myself off and i went and got dress for bed. When I heard Bella talking with Mom.
"Hi Mom." I chirped
"Hi sweetie. How's school. tell me more about it. Are there any cute guys? Are they being nice to you." Bells scoffs a little
"Well they're all..."
"Very welcoming." I finished
"Uh oh tell me all about it."
"It doesn't even matter." Bella closed up
"Yes it does honey."
"I have homework to do. I'll talk to you later."
"Okay love you."
"We love you too." Bells hung up and I took her hand.
"Don't worry. Tomorrow you tell me when he gets there and I'll demand to know what his problem is."
"You don't have to do that Jack."
"But I will."
Unfortunately the next day he didn't show. The others were here but no one else . The day after that he wasn't there so Bella sat next to me. More day's past and things began to feel and get a little strange.

It was a week and half later. When we were coming out of the house Bella slipped while Cleo found a none icy part.
"You okay Bells."
"Yeah the ice doesn't help the uncoordinated."
"Yeah that's why I had some new tires put on the truck. Old one's were getting pretty bald. Well, proberly be late for dinner. Gotta head down to Mason County. Security at the Grisham Mill got killed by some sort of Animal."
"An Animal?" I asked
"You're not in Phoenix anymore girls."
"Be careful" Bell told him
"Always am." He got in the car and I went to my side of the truck. Cleo got in and then I did. When we got to school we both met up with Eric.
"Prom committee is a chick thing. But I gotta cover it for the paper anyway and they need a guys to help choose the music, so I need your play list." I took off my coat and hung it up.
"Hey listen, Bella. I was wondering did you have a date to..."
"How you liking the rain Arizona's" Mike rained water from his umbrella.
"You are such a dork" I told him
"Jacks." I stopped and turned to my sister. "He's back." I straighten up
"Is he now."
"Yeah."
"Okay, let's go. Cleo straight." she stood up and walked straight "Right" she turned and I counted "stop." She stopped and I took off her harness. I got all of my things out and sat down I slipped my glasses up and I felt Cleo relax.
