"Hello." I turned my head "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself last week. I'm Edward Cullen. You're Jackie?" I nodded

"Yes."

"Onion root tip cells that's what's on your slides right now. Okay? So, separate and label them into phases of mitosis and the first partners to get them right win...the golden onion" I chuckled.

"All yours." I moved the microspore towards him

"Right."

"You were gone." I stated

"Yeah. I was out of town for a couple of days. Personal reasons...prophase."

"You don't have to explain, just making a comment." I took the pen and wrote it down.

"You can write in print?" he asked

"Well how else I'm I going to write things down." I joked. "I can write both. Obviously one is more difficult that the other. But I love the challenge."

"So are you enjoying the rain?"

"You're asking me about the weather?" I retorted

"Yeah I guess I am." He replied

"It's okay I guess, depending what mood I'm in. My sister hates it though. We're opposites in that subject" He laughs.

"What?" I asked

"Nothing. It's anaphase. The next slide." I hummed

"Why did you move to the most wettest place in the continental US?"

"That is a complicated story."

"I'm sure I can keep up." I shifted a bit to turn in his direction.

"My mom re married and uh..."

"So you don't like the guy, or..." he wondered

"No, that's not it. Phil's really nice. Especially with you know." I pointed to my eyes

"It's metaphase." I nodded "Where you born blind?" He asked

"No, when I was a child my Mum accidently left cleaning stuff out. I was the curious child. I began to play with them and a bunch of it to into my eyes. All different kinds. My mom didn't even know that could cause blindness."

"And you have a seeing eye dog."

"Cleo, Yeah. I wasn't gonna let my own actions affect me so I work hard at everything. Every other sense is better."

"How better." I closed my eyes and listened

"Far back right there someone clicking there pain 10 times a minute." I breathed in "Girl in front had a ham salad for breakfast." I held out my hand
