Chapter Six - La Push

We were at the beach and the others apart from me, Angela and Bella were all suited up to go out.

"I keep thinking Eric is going to ask me to Prom. Then he just doesn't."

"You should ask him. Take control you're a strong independent woman." Bella told her

"I am?" Angie questioned

"Yes." I confirmed

"Hey will you do me up, please?" Jess asked Angie.

"Sure."

"Bella, Jack." I smiled hearing Jake

"Jake." I chimed. "Guys this is Jake." they all said hi. Jake leaned against the van and near Bella.

"What are you like stalking us?" Bella asked and I laughed. He scoffed

"You're on my rez. Remember? Are you surfing?" Bella scoffs

"Defiantly not."

"Thanks"

"You should keep Jackie and Bella company their dates bailed."

"What dates?" The boys asked

"Jack invited Edward and Jasper."

"I was just being nice" I tried to shrug it off

"I think it's great she invited them. No one ever does."

"Cause Cullen's a freak." Mike snickered

"You got that right" I heard another voice.

"You guys know them?" Bella asked

"The Cullen's don't come here." I wondered what that meant.

"Do wanna go for a walk." The three of us agreed and left. I left Cleo go and threw the ball for her as I linked my arm with Jake's.

"What did your friends mean that 'the Cullen's don't come here.'" I asked

"You caught that then. I'm not really supposed to say anything about it."

"Hey we can keep a secret." Bells says and he laughs.

"Really it's just like an old scary story."

"Well we want to know." he sighed

"Okay, did you know that the Quileute are supposedly descended from wolves?"

"What wolves, like real wolves?" Cleo brought her ball back and I threw it again

"Yeah. That's the legend of our tribe."

"Okay, so what's the story about the Cullen's?" I wondered

"Well there supposedly descended from this like, enemy clan. My great grandfather the chief found them hunting on our land. But they claimed to be something different, so we made a treaty with them. If the promised to stay of Quileute lands, then we wouldn't expose what they really were to the palefaces."
