KHYAN'S POV

Seven years. It all happened seven years ago pero parang kahapon lang din. The five of us managed to keep the Buenaventura Empire going - Genesis is also part of that empire together with the other businesses. Kaming lima na ang namahala sa Genesis since Zeph's death at hinati-hati naming lima ang pagmo'monitor sa iba pang businesses ng Buenaventura. I'm in-charge of Buenaventura Schools and Buenaventura Technologies. However, the THRO (Ten High Ranking Officials) stays active and they report directly to the five of us.
Right at this moment, nasa loob ako ng opisina ko sa isa sa mga University na pagmamay-ari ng mga Buenaventura. Dalawang universities ang nakapangalan pa rin kay Zeph hanggang ngayon. Hindi pa rin namin napag-uusapan kung anong gagawin namin tungkol sa bagay na yan but we want to keep it at that as long as possible. Lahat ng mga ari-arian ng mga Buenaventura ay sakanya pa rin nakapangalan including the two Universities: Torah University and Veda University.

As much as possible, ayokong pumupunta dito sa Veda University because of a certain someone. Today is one of those sucking days. They're celebrating their foundation day and I was invited to participate in the opening ceremony. There was a knock on the door and I silently wished that it's not her.

"Come in." I mentally rolled my eyes when I saw her walk inside my office.
"Not giving me a kiss, are you?"
"How can I help you, Miss President?" Naupo ako sa office chair ko at nag'relax. Agad naman siyang lumapit sakin at hinawakan ang magkabila kong balikat.
"Should I give you a kiss first?" Ugh, this woman.
"Aya, can we stop this?" Inalis ko ang mga kamay niya.
"Why should we?" Binalik niya ulit. I sighed.
"What happened between us is just a one-time event."
"Of course, it's a one-time event because my virginity can only be taken from me once."
"Can we be professionals this time, Miss President? I came here because of that stupid ceremony, not because of you."
"Fine. We can always catch up after the ceremony." This woman is really impossible.
"You know what? Forget about the damned ceremony. I have important things to do and this one's not on my list. Cover for me out there, will you?" I leaned towards her and she frantically nodded her head expecting for me to kiss her but I immediately stormed out of my office, smirking all the way out. That trick works every time.

When Zeph's still around, she's really a handful kaya wala kaming masyadong oras sa mga sarili namin. She was the center of our world. Nang mawala siya, we we're completely lost, we didn't know what to do. Sa tingin ko, unconsciously, naghanap kami ng makakapalit sa dating pwesto ni Zeph that's why we fooled around with girls. Aya is just one of them. Before we take a girl, pinapaintindi namin sa kanila na katuwaan lang ang lahat but Aya is just too demanding. Sina Clark at Xander ay nasa parehong sitwasyon din ng akin and the ones responsible for our misery happened to be friends. That's a total shit for the three of us. Cloud's situation is a different story as well as my brother's. Hindi siya naghanap tulad naming apat pero patuloy pa rin siyang sinusuyo ni Zandra. Bilib din ako sa babaeng yun eh. For the past seven years, she's constantly there at napansin kong napapalapit na rin sakanya ang kapatid ko though konti lang. Pinipilit pa rin siya ng mga magulang namin na pakasalan si Zandra but he wouldn't budge. Pero may kasalanan din si Zandra sa sitwasyon namin ngayon dahil siya ang nagpakilala sa amin sa mga kaibigan niya nang mga oras na sobrang depressed pa kami sa pagkamatay ni Zeph.
Umalis na ako ng Veda University at napagpasyahan kong magpapahinga na lang muna ako ngayong araw sa mansion. Yes, we still live at the Buenaventura mansion. We just can't bring ourselves to move out of that house. There are so many happy memories of Zeph that lingers there. The whole mansion is just so full of her and we can't abandon that.

Tinigil ko ang kotse ko sa tabi ni Race. Minsan ginagamit namin sina Race at Chase para hindi sila kalawangin at alagang-alaga sila sa kapatid ko at kay Cloud dahil siya ang pinaka mahilig sa mga sasakyan saming lima. Nang makapasok ako sa main door, kumunot ang noo ko dahil may mga tao sa living room kaya pumunta ako dun.
