Chapter 23

KEIRA’S POV

It has been a week after ang ginawa ko sa mga dating FMOA ng Mommy ko. Nagising na lang ako dito sa bahay at that day and the guys are always checking on me.

Nakasandal ako ngayon kay Clark habang minamasahe naman ni Grey ang binti ko. Kumakain lang ako ice cream ngayon habang nanunuod ng TV. Kami lang nina Clark, Grey, Ash at Cloud and nandito sa bahay dahil busy yung iba sa pag-aasikaso ng mga kompanya. I’m on my rest day dahil ilang araw na din akong pabalik-balik sa mga kompanya to have board meetings. Apocalypse and Fuentebella Group are not stable at the moment so we need to do a lot of things. Yan, Hale and Clark seems to enjoy it though.

Nilipat-lipat ko lang ang channel sa TV dahil wala akong magustuhang palabas. Actually, kanina ko pa ‘to ginagawa.

“Pwede bang sabihin mo na lang Em kung ano ang gusto mong panuorin at ako na ang maghahanap ng channel. Sumasakit na ang ulo ko sa kakalipat mo niyan eh.” Binato ko sakanya yung hawak kong remote without saying anything.

“Wala ka naman palang hinahanap na palabas eh. Mabuti pa ay manuod na lang tayo ng balita. Siguradong makikita nanaman natin ang pagmumukha nung tatlo.” Ash.

“You can just stare at me here, you know.” Pang-aasar ni Clark kay Ash. I laughed at that. Ang tatlo kasing tinutukoy ni Ash na makikita namin sa balita ay sina Clark, Yan at Hale. Laman sila ng balita for a few days now.

“Fuck off, dude.” Ash told Clark dismissively at inilipat na ang channel.

Isusubo ko na sana yung isang kutsaritang ice cream na may kasamang oreo nang makita ko ang mukha ko sa TV. All five of us just stared at the TV. Nalaglag tuloy sa cushion yung ice cream. Humagalpak ng tawa si Cloud at Ash habang nagpipigil naman ng tawa si Clark at Grey.

“Ah~ that was nice. Ang cute mo sa picture na yun, Big Boss.” Binato ko kay Cloud yung hawak kong kutsarita. It was my picture during my 18th birthday. I was like, ‘what the fuck? That was seven years ago’.

“I think they couldn’t get any latest picture that’s why they used that one.” Clark.

“Why am I on the news?” I glared at the four of them.

“That’s expected, Big Boss.” Cloud.

“I don’t want it.”

“We can manipulate the media at some degree but we can’t really control the news, Kei.”

“I know that, Clark!” Padabog akong umalis sa kinauupuan ko at binigay kay Grey yung kinakain kong ice cream.

“San ka pupunta?” Ash.

“I need to talk to my friends before they decided to just appear on our doorsteps.”

“So, that’s what you’re worried about. I see. I’ll get their contact numbers from the guardians that are assigned to them. Give me a sec.” Kinuha ni Clark ang phone niya na may tinawagan. Yeah, some members of Lucent Unit are still guarding them.

After a few minutes, inabot sakin ni Clark ang phone niya pero di ko yun kinuha agad. I just stared at him.

“They’re on the other line. Good thing at magkasama sila as of the moment.” Right. Kinuha ko ang phone niya at naupo ulit pero hindi na sa pwesto ko kanina. Pinagmamasdan ako nung apat and I don’t know who turned off the TV.
