A Surprise

"Hey guys!" Ryan waved with his usually goofy grin

"Hey babe, hey Josh" Brendon nodded at the two

Ryan sat on Brendon's lap, Brendon planting a soft kiss on Ryan's cheek, blush dusting across Ryan's face.

"Hi Brendon, Gee"

Tyler stared at Josh, his stomach in knots as he waited for the boy to greet him.

But it never came

Instead, Josh just blushed and looked at his shoes

Tyler knew he had to do something, anything

So Josh could feel more comfortable

"Hey, Joshie. You look cute today"

Ah, why did I say that!? Tyler thought, mentally face palming

Tyler was taken by surprise when a small giggle came from Joshuas mouth

"Thanks Ty, you look cute too- pretty- i mean, uh, handsome"

Josh stumbled over his words, slouching his shoulders and turning beat red

Tyler silently laughed to himself, shaking his head

He shuffled over to give Josh more room to sit, Tyler tapping the seat next to him

Joshua sat down besides Tyler.

The group chatted, telling jokes and laughing, waiting for Halsey to get out of detention

In the middle of laughter, Joshua jumped, not expecting anyone to touch him

Tyler just looked at him

"You okay?" Tyler asked, as if he didn't know what Josh was shocked about

Josh slowly nodded, Tyler giving him a smile as he continued rubbing small circles into Joshuas back
