It was still a little early, the band hasn't even started playing.

Dei and her friends walk in the bar arguing about how the night should go.

"Mars, ngayon ka na nga lang namin nahila. Lubus lubusin na natin!" Kim, Dei's friend and colleague said.

"Oo nga, hindi naman pwedeng isang round lang tayo, tapos uwian na? Ano tayo, teenager?" Paolo said.

"Ano baaaa. Ang tanda ko na para dito diba? Buti nga pumayag pa akong mag Malate ano!" Dei complaining as they sat near the bar.

"Dei, the night is young and so are we! Anong matanda sinasabi mo dyan? Papasa ka pang college student! Ang fez o! Hahaha!" Cai says as she taps Dei's chin.

"Wow maka college ka naman dyan Cai kilabutan ka nga!" Dei laughs.

"Kim, order na tayo bago pa abutan ng curfew to si Dei kala mo naman may naghihintay sa kanya sa bahay." Paolo teased. He gestures for a tower of Zombie, and a glass for each of them.

"Hanep naman salamat guys ha. Bakit ba panay ako pinag uusapan dito mga buset?"

"Eh kasi ikaw ang star of the night! Congratulations Dei! Full-time professor of THE DE LASALLE UNIVERSITY MANILAAAAAA" Paolo shouted.

"CHEEEERS!" Kim holds up her glass to meet theirs.

"Hindi halata sa fez at body o parang 18 years old lang o!" Cai teases Dei.

"18 years old talaga hahaha plus 10 years! Mag 28 na po ako bukas mga madam ser! Salamat! Cheers!"

Playful bantering went on and on for another 15 minutes, updating each other with the latest in their lives.

"Namimiss ko na kayo mga bes! Ang susungit ng mga colleagues ko sa UST jeske!" Paolo says as he finishes his glass.

"Eh kasi bakit ka ba lumipat dun, eh di ayan nagkahiwa hiwalay tayo." Kim says.

"Alam nyo naman ang sitwasyon ko diba, itinataguyod ko ang buong sambayanan ng Santoses mula Batanes hanggang Jolo sa akin naka asa."

"Ayun na nga. Miss ka din namin swear. Ang dami naming chika hindi maikwento ng maayos sa text!"

"Oo nga pala, alam mo ba, pati si Hulyeta na full-time na rin?"

"OMG! Huwell, it's about time ano, inugat na sya sa La Salle ngayon lang napromote! Di katulad nito ni Dei o batang bata full-time agad!"

"Actually baka nga kaya ang init ng dugo nung babaitang yun kay Dei dahil inggit sa youth!"

"At napapabalita pang mag reresign na si Sir Danny, at napupusuang si Dei ang irecommend na papalit sa kanyang department chair!"

"Ayieeee!! Grabe Dei ibang level ka na nyan, ano hindi ka na sasama samin sa Agno ganun?"

"Teka wala pa nga wag nga kayong ano. Di ko pa nga tapos PhD ko haha! Di pako ready sa mga administrative roles na ganyan."

The band starts, and they play 90s music. Everybody stops talking as they nod their heads to Foo Fighter's Learn To Fly.

Dei tries to catch the attention of the waiter, but the dim lights and loud music make it difficult for her.

"Punta lang akong bar ha! Ano gusto nyo?" Dei shouts at them.

"Tequila! 8 shots agad!" Kim shouts back.

"Ay ano to walwalan?!" Cai laughs

"Okay na yan libre naman ni Dei! Yaaaaas!" Paolo shouts

"Sige na nga minsan lang naman!" Dei heads to the bar.
