Dei arrived home exhausted but finding herself smiling as she recalls what happened that night. Sure it was unfortunate that her car broke down, but in the end, she got to spend time with him and his family who were surprisingly very accommodating given that they only met her tonight.
All in all, it was a good night.
She checks her phone which finally has battery, and saw several messages. Some of which are from RJ.
Hi Dei, nakauwi ka na?
Let me know if you're home, okay?
Thanks for tonight. Sa uulitin!
That last message made her chuckle as she replies
Sa uulitin, RJ? You mean sana masiraan ako ulit ng koche ganun ba?
She hasn't even put down her phone, she receives a prompt reply
Hindi naman sa ganun haha! I mean I hope we can spend some time again, to get to know each other more. Parang ang dami ko pang gustong malaman about you. Maybe we can have dinner again tomorrow night?
Dei replies : Naku hindi pa ba sapat mga nalaman mo kanina??
I can never get enough of you, Dei. Dinner, tomorrow?
As Dei was about to reply, another text comes in.
This time from someone she's been waiting for but dreading to hear from.
Bob.
Dei. Sorry for the late reply. Yes let's meet up, marami tayong dapat pagusapan. I'll pick you up tomorrow night, 6pm sa Taft. Tayo lang.
Shit. Okay I have to get this over with. She calls her sister.
"Sis. Pwede ka ba bukas? Nakikipag kita na yung kumag."
"Yung ex mo? Sige. Saan, anong oras?"
"6pm daw eh, siguro dito na lang sa malapit, susunduin daw nya ako eh."
"Ay fak baka di ako umabot ng 6pm. Teka, wag kang sasakay sa koche nya ano ba. Makipag kita ka na lang dyan sa coffee shop. Starbucks. Basta susunod ako agad, may meeting kasi ako sa Makati pipilitin kong tapusin ng 6pm, basta derecho na ako agad sayo."
"Okay, okay. Will tell him."
Dei sends her reply : Bob, I'll just meet you in Starbucks Taft, 6pm. Thanks.
She finally felt her exhaustion, and decides to get some rest.
Tomorrow is going to be a loooong day.
