Chap 25 - You Dont Deserve Me!

•SHIVAY•
Shivay drove his car faster than the wind. It was as if he was going to die & he is running towards his life. The road seemed longer than usual. The whole way his eyes were flowing terribly, the flood of tears were soaking up his heart with utter guilt & embarrassment. He could not find the words to confront Annika but he somehow gathered the courage to face her once before letting his life slipping away from his hands completely.

•HOSPITAL•
Annika finally slept after taking her medicines. The doctor told Karan that since she was too weak, she needs to be there in the hospital for a day more.

•KARAN-SHIVAY FACEOFF•
Karan was sitting outside the room in the lobby of the hospital when he saw Shivay coming, his appearance looked devastated while his eyes looked more darker the blood.

He stood up in surprise looking at him
"Shivaayyy" Karan spoke.

"Please let me meet her once Karan, I m sorry. I have realised my mistake. Please!" He cried bitterly.

"Go away Shivay. There is no use meeting her. She is not in the condition to suffer more" Karan said turning his face against him.

"Karan please. I know I dont deserve to, but I cant let this last chance slip away from my hand. Just once plz" Shivay tried to speak between the sobs.

"I think finally the reality hit you? But why are you here now Shivay? The damage is done. I cant let you hurt her more, she is the most valuable friend my life has given me. I cant let you hurt an innocent soul like her again" Karan was angry.

"Karan just one last chance! I promise I wont hurt her again, not in my life. I just want to see her. Please let me meet her, I love her Karan. I cant live without her. Please forgive me" Shivay said folding his hands in front of Karan, he cried while looking into his eyes with a ray of hope.

Karan knew Shivay loved Annika but he just wanted to listen to it from him once. He felt so relieved after Shivay said it. He was happy now. Atleast Shivay finally realised his love for Annika. Karana was obviously hurt and angry on Shivay but not as angry to ignore his devastated condition & guilty eyes. He felt bad for Shivay. Obviously he was at fault & what all he did with Annika was not justified but the main culprit was Jennifer. Anyone who would have been there under her spell in those circumstances would have thought the same. He knew Shivay was at fault, but partially not completely. The way Shivay Singh Oberoi stood in front of him folding his hands , crying his heart out melted his heart. He knew everyone deserves a second chance & so does this man.

"Come with me Shivay" Karan said holding his hands that were folded in front of him.

Karan took him to the lawn of the hospital. Sitting on the bench of the lawn, Karan gave water to Shivay. He drank it in a go. Continuous crying made his throat dry & really thirsty.

"Feeling better?" Karan asked.
"Hmm" Shivay said nodding his head, while his eyes were stuck on the floor.
"Shivay, I know I m no one to interfere in between your & Annika's personal matter. I know I m no one to tell you how to treat your wife & I wont tell you all this. As a friend I have known Annika from a couple of weeks. In these weeks we didn't even talked to each other on phone. You know when I met Annika for the first time, I liked her. The honesty, the reality, the innocence in her eyes hit me hard. I haven't seen such pure eyes ever in my life, but you know there was one more thing that I saw in her eyes that day and that was the immense love she had in her eyes for you. I didn't knew she was your wife and when I got to know I was really shocked, for may be my heart started believing that Annika is the one for me. I was so shocked & spellbound when I got to know that she being your wife have allowed you to be yourself & be with Jennifer. It was more shocking because I knew she loved you & it is really hard to see someone you love with someone else. I started respecting her more for the fact that she had a big selfless heart unlike most of the people who are selfish & mean."
