It was a busy day, much like any other day. The streets were filled with honking cars and the sidewalks were bustling with people hurrying to wherever it was they were going.

I myself was hurrying through the crowds to my music class, pushing through people. I was running late for my class, but honestly, I liked to arrive early. I had some time to spare. I was getting a degree in music, and hopefully I could get a job involving music (*cough cough* Broadway *cough cough*).

Hey, don't judge. Broadway is amazing, and even though I can sing decently, I could still work with the instruments or something.

Me hurrying through the streets doesn't exactly make me aware of what's going on around me. I just have a set destination. And since I didn't see what was going on around me, someone bumped into me. The both of us stumbled back, falling. My bag kinda cushioned my fall a bit. Good thing this street wasn't quite busy as the others.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" the other person exclaimed, helping me up. I saw he had red hair, and the warmest brown eyes I had ever seen. He had some freckles too, which made him look even more adorable.

"It's okay, don't worry about it." I reassured him. "I've gotten knocked over plenty of times by my dog."

The guy laughed. "I'm Sky. Sky Flaherty."

I gasped. "You're the Sky from Newsies! Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!"

Sky posed. "The one and only!"

I facepalmed. "I feel worse for bumping into you now. I'm Sophia Rogers. But everyone calls me Sohpi."

"Nah, I've been through worse. You're fine." he said, waving away my apology. "Nice to meet you."

I looked at my watch. 15 minutes until class began. Eh, campus wasn't too far from my apartment, and I had walked pretty far along. I could see the spires of the buildings jutting into the blue sky. But I still wanted to get there early.

"Oof, I've got to get to class." I told him. "I don't know if I'm going to see you again, though."

Sky's face morphed into a look of sadness. "Aw, it was really nice talking to you. You're really pretty, by the way."

I blushed, taking out a piece of paper. I quickly wrote my number on it, and handed it to Sky.

"Here. Text me whenever. Just not when I'm in class."

I got a text from Sky as soon as I walked out of class.

Hey, this is Sky
Would u want to meet later?

I smiled and texted back a response.

Of course

How about at a little book store close to where we bumped into each other?
I'l text u the address

Sure
see u there!

I have to drop my books off at my apartment
it'll only take a few minutes
see you at the book store!

I hurried over to my apartment, dropping off all my books. Like seriously, who wants to carry those textbooks and notebooks around everywhere. I already don't want to do it while I'm in classes.

I dropped my books off, and made my way to the book store as fast as I could. I was a regular there, spending most of my free time sitting in the coffee shop half of the store with a book in hand.

I opened the door of the store, the little bell jingling merrily, and I looked around for Sky. I spotted him sitting in a corner table, looking out of the window. That was the table I usually sat at in my spare time there. I made my way over, sitting down in the seat across from him, and jolting him out of his thoughts. He faced me with a cheery smile, which I returned.

"Took you long enough." he remarked.

"Hey, it was only 5 minutes." I reasoned. "5 minutes isn't that long."

"But when you've got an amazing date, it feels like an eternity."

My face flushed a shade of pink, and I coughed to cover it up. Never thought a celebrity would fall for me, and yet, here I am.

"So, do you come here often?" Sky asked.

I nodded. "It's the only place where I can find peace in this hectic environment. That, and it's the only place I feel not awkward in."

Sky laughed, and I gave a small smile.

It had been a little over 3 months since Sky and I had bumped into each other and met at the book store a few hours later. And a little over 3 months in which we had grown closer. We had met at the book store often, but sometimes, we would just hang out at one of our apartments, doing nothing but enjoying each other's presences.

Speaking of which, I was waiting outside of Sky's apartment door. And, I had brought cookies. Who doesn't like cookies?

I knocked on his door again, and I could hear him running to the door. A moment later, the door opened, and Sky's eyes widened.

"Cookies!" he exclaimed. "GIMME GIMME GIMME!"

He snatched them from my hands and ran into the kitchen with them. I laughed, following him, as he took two cookies and snarfed them down.

"Nice to see you too, Sky." I dryly remarked.

Sky smiled. "Nice to see you, Sophi. Thanks for the cookies." he said with a mouthful of cookie.

A moment of silence passed between us before Sky broke it.

"Hey, Sophi?"

I hummed in response.

"Would-Do-can-" he stuttered.

I chuckled. "Spit it out, Skybelle."

"Would you want to become my girlfriend?" he blurted out.

I froze for a moment, shock written all across my face. Sky sighed and facepalmed, groaning about how stupid he was for thinking of asking me that.

"Hey. Sky." I said, catching his attention. "Sky, listen to me. You're not stupid okay? You're a brilliant actor who's also very sweet and funny." Sky looked at me. "What I'm trying to say is, 'Yes.'"

Sky's eyes widened and he kissed me, smiling into the kiss.
And what can I say? We fell for each other (literally and figuratively).
