*~ Shane's POV ~*

"Goodnight Shane," Lizzie said said to me her eyes were drooping slightly, she gave me one last smile, making me feel all tingly inside.

Why does she make me feel this way?

She left the room, without giving me the chance to bid her goodnight. I got up and switched off the TV, I was placing the CD back into its case when I had Lizzie scream.

"AAAAAAAAAAAH!" She screamed, I dropped the CD and it's case onto the linoleum flooring and ran out the room with hundreds of different fantasies whizzing through my head to what might've happened to Lizzie.

Maybe some sort of paedophile snuck in and is raping her!

Okay, yeah I know, far fetched but the way she screamed makes me think that it could be anything.

I ran into the bathroom and saw her quivering as she held the dor handle tight until her knuckles went white. At the sight of her, I just wanted to make her feel better and make her smile again but I needed to know why she was reacting like this.

"What is it Lizzie?" I asked her, and placed my hands on her shoulders, to stop her from shaking.

With one hand she shakily pointed underneath the sink and there was a... spider, which was as big as my thumb nail...

I couldn't help but burst out into laughter, she sat through the scariest movie I owned - I hoped that she would get scared and cling onto me - and she's scared over a tiny spider?

Where's the sense in that?

"You sat through that movie and not get scared at all and you scream at the top of your lungs when you see a spider?" I managed to say between my laughter, I then let go of Lizzie and took a step back so I could clutch my stomach.

"Shane! It's not funny!" She whined and edged closer to me and eyed the spider which began to move, "Shane, it's moving!" she screamed and then skirted around and and held on to my t-shirt, I felt her leaning her face on back.

My laughter started to subside, as I began to realise that she really was scared of spiders. I turned around to face, her making her lose her grip on me and then easily held her dainty hands in mine.

She wasn't crying, or she didn't seem to be on the verge of it, she was just taking deep breaths slowly and tried to calm herself, with her eyes closed. I brought her closer so our legs were gently pressed against each other making me feel hot inside yet tingly as well.

I liked the sensation more then I should.

"Lizzie, it's alright. I'll get rid of it okay? You can watch me get rid of it if you want me to," I told her, she opened her beautiful eyes which seemed full of terror.

"Okay," She whispered weakly, making me feel stupid for laughing the way I did.

God, I'm so stupid.

I let go of her, but she didn't seem to let go of me and kept a firm hand on the back of my t-shirt. I couldn't help but smile, I wanted this all night, for her to cling on me.

I ran my hand through my hair, how was I supposed to get rid of it? I didn't exactly want to step on it.
